Ditch the flashy cars and discover an alternative and creative side of Singapore on your own ride
We’re gearing up for the F1 Grand Prix which is set to hit Singapore again soon, and we know what we’re in for. Burlesque parties, burger feasts, big F1 concerts, and more events are lined up in the calendar during race weekend. But for those more creatively-inclined, you are not forsaken – there’s also a Design Circuit happening on 9 September.
Presented by Naiise and bike-sharing platform oBike, the Design Circuit takes you on a tour of the city’s most creative pit stops via bicycle. On the itinerary of this design, lifestyle and heritage cycling trail are spots like offbeat art gallery, kult; the design student’s favourite bookstore, Basheer Graphic Books at Bras Basah Complex; checking out the hip Haji Lane and its surroundings; picking up complimentary refreshments from various F&B spots; and more.
The circuit kicks off at 3pm; get set to wheel over 10 pit stops around Orchard, Marina Bay, Bugis, Clarke Quay and Bras Basah. The Grand Prix too flashy for you? Here’s your Alt-F1 option.
Naiise Design Circuit, 9 September, 3pm, various locations. Prices start from $15 and tickets are available online.
More artsy stuff here! Fried chicken and live music, 4Fingers makes this possible with this music festival and city festival Music Matters returns with an extensive line-up.
