1. Passepartout Brunch and Coffee
Passepartout’s modern blue walls and English-inspired interiors may catch your eye, but it’s the food and coffee that’ll make you stay. The five brunch dishes, each named after different cities around the world, have been all the rage, especially the Calcutta, which consists of crispy butter chicken, slaw and masala waffles. If you’re looking for something a little less filling, Passepartout’s baked goods will be ideal. You can complement those with the cafe’s special miso caramel latte–and don’t forget to keep an eye out for some fancy latte art!
Passepartout Brunch and Coffee, Shop 2, G/F, Chung Wai Commercial Building, 447-449 Lockhart Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, p. 2882 0828, 銅鑼灣駱克道447-449號中威商業大廈地下2號舖
2. Cosmos
Private room dining with coffee and cocktails, plus Netflix AND karaoke?! Yep, you read that right–Cosmos has all of this in one place. Managed by the local karaoke company RedMR, Cosmos aims to overturn the negative impressions of karaoke (you know, the dark and dingy rooms with mediocre food?), and to deliver an exclusive culinary experience to its guests. In their bright, pastel-themed rooms, you’ll be able to belt your hearts out while digging into some scrumptious dishes. Take your pick from teriyaki steak donburi to slow-cooked Norwegian salmon fillet, with a variety of coffee, tea, wines and special cocktails to match.

3. Ninetys Roastery
The Ninetys franchise is no stranger to cafe-hoppers in Hong Kong, but at its Roastery, you’ll get to enjoy brewed coffees made from their freshly roasted beans too. Sourcing premium java beans from around the world, the professional baristas at Ninetys Roastery’s have recently redesigned their Fruity Blend. This new blend gives out aromas of jasmine, with hints of pineapple, vanilla, and toffee to finish. To pair with the coffee, go for their equally impressive light bites, like the salmon tartare and crab benedict.

If you’re a fan of dreamy, floral-themed cafes, this one’s for you. Decorated with pink blooms, chandeliers and marble tables, Séan Cafe & Lounge is the perfect place for cute dates and small gatherings (and, of course, Instagram stories). While some menu items, such as the cherry blossom pancakes and rose latte, are infused or embellished with flowers to go along with the cafe’s concept, other dishes are popular too. Have a go at the English breakfast, tiramisu pancakes, or the delicately hand-painted macarons.
