About Celia Lee
Lifestyle Writer
Hiya, Celia here! Your go-to guide for all things local and culture-related at Honeycombers Hong Kong.
After a decade in the rolling fields and idyllic towns of the UK, I returned to explore the lesser-known sides of the city I call home – rediscovering my favourite local eats like pineapple buns and dim sum, rejoining family temple visits, and reacquainting myself with Hong Kong’s unique beat. My background in cultural journalism and hands-on approach mean every recommendation – from claypot rice spots to emerging art collectives – is thoroughly tasted, tested, and vetted.
I pride myself on my international worldview and refined understanding of culture and the arts, a combination that’s surprisingly useful when navigating the chaotic beauty of my hometown. While my passion for uncovering hidden gems rarely flames out, I often stave off burnout with creative exercises of my own, whether it be crafting my own fictional world through writing (spy me on AO3!) or working on my next crochet project.
Since joining Honeycombers Hong Kong in 2024, I’ve been balancing my editorial duties with social media. As I curate a feed that’s as rich and vibrant as the city itself, feel free to follow my lead and check out exciting happenings, traditional festivals, and the diverse personalities powering Hong Kong!
