Want to keep up with the latest trends in the world of wellness? I tried-and-tested the spa experiences in Bali that everyone's raving about in 2025.
As someone who’s always on the lookout for the latest in wellness trends, I’m continually drawn to Bali’s pioneering spirit in healing, beauty, and transformation. Last year, biohacking, breathwork, and sculpting facials stole the spotlight – and these aren’t going anywhere.
But 2025 is ushering in an exciting new era: think social wellness (because community is the new self-care), hair and scalp care, co-working spaces designed for wellbeing, and pilates studios blooming like frangipanis after the rain.
If you haven’t tapped into Bali’s next-gen wellness and spa scene yet, 2025 is the perfect time, as this island keeps reinventing what it means to feel good. So, I tried and tested all the top spa treatments in Bali to bring you this list of the wellness trends in 2025. And yes, you too can experience these trending treatments in Bali.
Co-Working Wellness

Long hours at a screen don’t have to come at the cost of our wellbeing. And that’s why Bali’s new breed of co-working spaces are equal parts ergonomic, euphoric and necessary. They even have yoga classes, saunas, and smoothie bowls on tap!
Where to co-work in Bali with wellness at the forefront:
The Space in Pecatu, Uluwatu, is where co-working, wellness, and connection collide. And it all starts at The Space itself, which features natural lighting, ergonomic chairs, multiple charging points, free-flow water, coffee and tea. There’s also a full schedule of yoga, meditation zones and massage rooms to care for your wellness. Plus, their dedicated WhatsApp groups encourage connection between like-minded souls.
Omni Club recently opened in Seseh, and this all-in-one hub aims to be the best when it comes to high-performance and self-care. The members-only club features a 100-seat co-working space, along with state-of-the-art fitness and recovery zones, plus advanced diagnostic tools backed by a team of health experts. Basically, everything you need to thrive and restore. Honestly, it tempts me to move closer to Seseh, just to become a member here!
The Pilates Revolution

There’s no question that Bali is renowned for yoga. But, the reformer renaissance is reshaping Bali’s wellness scene. With 30+ pilates studios island-wide, this mindful method of fitness is my preference for core strength, balance and alignment.
Where to do pilates in Bali:
The Collective Club – Since its opening in 2024, I’ve loved taking this Ubud studio’s Essence and Elongate reformer classes. Now in a larger studio with more reformers, they’ve expanded their offerings to include mat Pilates and yoga, too.
Studio Fondue in Bingin is another island favourite for creative fitness classes and top-tier instructors. You can work up a sweat with Mat HIIT Sculpt and Mat Barre Burn, or focus on elongating and strengthening with Reformer Abs and Reformer Total Form. There’s something for everyone here.
Bali Pilates Plus is owned by one of the most respected pilates instructors on the island, Vianca Rechtman. This established pilates studio recently relocated to Batu Belig Square and offers a full range of expert-led reformer classes.
Movement Matters in Ubud is the preferred studio among dedicated practitioners. This Nyuh Kuning studio offers more advanced reformer and mat pilates classes, teacher trainings, Gyrotronic and Rolfing therapy. Everything is designed to strengthen, realign, and heighten our body awareness.
Biohacking

Recover, repair and recharge. As the name suggest, biohacking is the practice of optimising our health, energy and performance. Think cell-regenerating red light therapy, infrared saunas, extreme hot and cold plunges (AKA contrast therapy), and immersing in sub-zero temperatures known as cryotherapy. This growing movement is reshaping spa experiences globally – including Bali!
Where to experience biohacking in Bali:
Como Shambhala Estate has introduced a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) chamber as part of its upcoming longevity roll out. This device is FDA-approved for reducing inflammation, enhancing cognitive function, boosting energy, recovery, and promoting better sleep.
Bali Radiance in Kerobokan is a renowned aromatherapy store in Bali. But most recently, it has opened a cutting-edge biohacking wellness space. It features a high-tech HBOT Hyperbaric Chamber – a total game-changer for enhancing cognitive, immune and metabolic health. It also have unique cell-charging devices including the world’s most advanced Super Sauna ‘Photo Genius’, and the Biotron plant-based frequency chamber.
The Istana Uluwatu is my go-to wellness retreat for a day of replenishment. It’s a clifftop sanctuary with a full suite of optimisation technologies. There’s HBOT, cryotherapy, a sauna dome and sensory deprivation tanks, all working in synergy with yoga, dance and social gatherings.
Terapung Float Club – a float in these open-air saltwater tanks feels amazing for soothing away stressors and enhancing sleep. While you’re here, explore other biohacking therapies too, like the cell-renewing Red Light Therapy, infrared sauna and ice bath.
Karma Spa is located in a clifftop resort, and it’s where you can ice plunge with endless ocean views. You can lay back in the infrared sauna, then add-on optional bodywork sessions. All this, plus they recently introduced Red Light Therapy to pair with IV Wellness Infusions and Reflexology. It doesn’t get much better than that…
sundaymood is my top pick for a private and luxurious infrared sauna experience. This Canggu sauna spa is breathtaking, with its beautifully designed private suites, complete with their own cold plunge. I love spending a slow, lazy day here, channelling that dreamy Sunday energy and soaking in the glow of the infrared.
Breathwork

Breathwork is the new black. Once a fringe practice, breathwork is now front and centre. In my opinion, we are only at the beginning of the breathwork movement, and this space will continue to grow and evolve. And in case you didn’t know, the concept of conscious breathwork is believed to flood our body with more oxygen, improving brain and body connection, mood and energy. What’s not to love about that?
Where to do breathwork in Bali:
Asa Maia is an Uluwatu wellness resort that draws in elite athletes and wellness seekers for its Tibet-inspired somatic breathwork. It’s also where I first experienced the transformative power of conscious breathing. The accomplished practitioner Syddarta guides the breathwork sessions, while the contrast therapy and subterranean plunge pools complement the experience.
Breathwork Bali has gained an excellent reputation (rightly so) for its private sessions and twice-weekly group breathwork circles. Their team of experienced practitioners also leads clinical breathwork sessions and comprehensive trainings, which are designed to help you integrate conscious breathing into your personal health practice.
Sanctuary Potato Head offers a full suite of conscious-raising wellness experiences, including a three-hour signature Breathwork + Ice immersion held at the beachfront. The sessions are led by experienced practitioners, and they are cleverly designed to boost immunity, mood, and energy.
Facial Massage

Spas prioritising facial massages over skin products are reshaping spa menus (and facial structures!). I think of these as a mini gym session for the face: a combination of meticulous facial muscle stimulation, lymphatic drainage and refined techniques to target the fascia. Years of tension can be smoothed away, yielding visibly more firm and toned results.
Where to experience facial massages in Bali:
Muka Concepts is the first boutique studio in outer-Pererenan to combine inter-oral Buccal techniques with gua sha to release face and jaw tension. Facialists work to sculpt and hydrate your skin, all within a luxurious sanctuary.
Anaya Aesthetics is one of the select medical spas in Bali, where you can experience facial massages using world-renowned skincare brands. Think skin-lifting massage technique topped with results-driven products like Biologique Recherche, which has long been regarded as one of the world’s best brands.
Tao Clinic is a growing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic in Bali, with locations in Ubud, Uluwatu and Kerobokan. I recently tried their Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture paired with a gua sha face massage using their custom-blended facial oil. It left my skin noticeably lifted, sculpted, and glowing.
Love Spa Ubud is somewhat quirky in design, yet it means serious business when it comes to facial massages. It offers one of the best value-for-money face-sculpting facials on the island. They blend the most divine neck and shoulder bodywork with a lymphatic massage, leaving your skin lifted for days.
Blue Karma Dijiwa is my top recommendation for Bali’s best Japanese Kobido facial in Seminyak. But it’s their Flying Bamboo Spa in Ubud where they take it up a notch with Intra-Oral Buccal Massage paired with Red Light Therapy.
Hair Spa Rituals

Bali has long been the heart of traditional cream baths. But now, deluxe hair spa rituals are having a moment. Haircare is returning to its roots… literally. Think nourishing oils, soothing scalp massages, and ancient rituals, reimagined for today’s wellness seekers.
Where to experience a hair ritual in Bali
The Faces – I tried the 90-minute Vegan Head Spa Ritual, and it felt like business class for my scalp. I reclined comfortably on a flatbed as my therapist gently exfoliated and nourished my scalp, with a herbal steam, warm poultices and massages. Then to finish, a soothing waterfall rinse enhanced with high-frequency, scalp-stimulating Darsonval technology. It was next-level nourishment for my locks.
Rob Peetoom – A hot-stone massage with a hair and scalp ritual? Yes please! This top-tier hair salon has launched a Deluxe Hair & Scalp Wellness Hair Spa. It includes nourishment and pampering for your hair, and a soothing upper body hot stone massage! What also makes this hair spa so sought-after is the views over the lush Campuhan Ridge from its Ubud salon. Rinse, repeat and relax…
Lymphatic Drainage

Say goodbye to sluggishness and hello to vibrant energy. With the understanding that our lymphatic system requires sweat, exercise and physical movement to activate its detoxifying function, sophisticated lymphatic treatments are on the rise at Bali’s best spas.
Where to experience lymphatic draining in Bali:
Lymphatic by Carla is a Canggu beauty renowned for not only their Brazilian booty lift, but also the lymphatic body work and vigorous abdominal massages.
Fondue Recovery is Uluwatu’s most popular wellness studio, and it has introduced Bali’s first Normatec compression therapy. If you didn’t already know, compression therapy is sought-after by athletes to accelerate lymphatic drainage.
Nomads Haus is where you can experience the results-driven Madero therapy. The therapy uses timber tools and instruments, which are carefully applied to target fat, muscle and cellulite.
Sacred River Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan has elevated its wellness offering even more, with the 2.5 hour Swadhisthana (Sacral) Ceremony. It involves a mineral salt scrub, Vichy shower and flowing massage on a warm waterbed. Together, this combination targets and releases lymphatic blockages, clears stagnation and deepens relaxation.
LED Red Light Therapy

As research continues to reveal the benefits of red-light therapy for skin and hair health, it’s no wonder Bali’s best spas are lighting the way. The therapy aims to boost collagen growth and hair health with every luminous session.
Cocoon Medical Spa is one of the first beauty clinics in Bali to launch its regenerative red-light therapy. It’s so soothing and healing for post-facial treatments. FYI they now offer red light therapy at the new VITALITY centre at Revivo Resorts.
Aesthetica Uluwatu takes things to another level by pairing their IV Infusions with Red Light Masks. This beautifully designed skin clinic offers the best-in-class in facial rejuvenating therapies – all delivered with world-class expertise.
Bonus: You can pick up red-light devices at the Expat Life Style store in Berawa. They come in panels, masks and wands so you can have a spa session at home!
Seed-To-Skin Beauty

What are seed-to-skin products? They are skincare products crafted from nutrient-rich ingredients, cultivated on pesticide-free soil and put through regenerative farming practices. It’s the next frontier in clean beauty. Indonesia is a treasure-trove of skin-nourishing superfoods, like turmeric and moringa, which further adds to the appeal of seed-to-skin skincare brands in Bali.
The best seed-to-skin skincare brands in Bali:
Fields of Yarrow is an award-winning natural skincare brand which champions local sourcing from their very own organic farm. The result? A Bali-born luxury, clean beauty brand that rivals the world’s best. But wait, there’s more. Fields of Yarrow now offers two gorgeous facial studios in both Uluwatu and Canggu!
SAVARA is a beautifully presented plant-based skincare range made in small batches. This impressive self-care collection features hair, body and skincare made with natural botanicals sourced from around Indonesia.
Treeology is a locally grown brand with the world’s first and Bali’s only certified regenerative moringa farm. One of my newest discoveries is their newly launched Organic Moringa Oil. It’s rich in natural omega, which deeply hydrates, plumps and leaves your skin glowing. I love that it’s an ethical skincare brand that’s rooted in place and purpose.
Social Wellbeing

In 2025, connection is the new luxury. Luckily, Bali has always been ahead of the curve in this area of wellbeing. From ecstatic dance sessions to communal saunas and soulful ceremonies, the island’s wellness spaces are becoming hubs for nurturing human connections.
Places for social connection & wellbeing in Bali:
Nirvana Life in Canggu is a modern sanctuary where fitness, wellness and community converge. The purpose-built space features a state-of-the-art fitness centre, infrared saunas, and cold plunges – creating a dynamic hub for like-minded individuals to connect as they recharge and thrive, together.
Lumeira Wellness harmoniously blends saunas, steams, pools and healthy food. I tried the signature Perenia where Balinese steam masters guided me and fellow wellness seekers through hot-cold therapies and rhythmic tapping using birch branches. Keep your eyes peeled for the monthly Welltopia, celebrated through group ceremonies, meditations, as well as sound and steam journeys.
Fivelements Retreat in Mambal (near Ubud) offers year-round immersive group wellness days. It consists of sacred ceremonies that deepen connection. I’ve been coming here since it launched, and what keep drawing me back is their world-class raw food and the Agni Hotra Fire Ceremony led by a priest.
Sleep Therapy

With research emphasising the link between sleep and brain longevity and skin health, the quest for better sleep has never been so crucial. In fact, this emerging wellness trend doesn’t stop at spas. They include Bali’s top luxury resorts with soundproofed rooms, dedicated sleep chambers and sleep butlers, too!
Where to improve your sleep in Bali:
REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort is an upscale wellness retreat in Nusa Dua that hosts a “Sleep Well & Reset Retreat”. It combines mindful movement and magnesium-rich foods with expert consultations.
Six Senses Uluwatu is a luxury Uluwatu hotel with year-round three-, five- and seven-night “Yogic-Sleep” Retreats. I’ve never felt so refreshed!
Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is a high-end Ubud hotel which promotes “Sleep Support Therapy”, inspired by ancient Ayurvedic practices.
Spring Spa has spa locations all across Bali, and it’s here where you can deeply unwind with the “Sleep Specialist” facial.
Silent Retreats

In a world filled with constant noise and distractions, silent tourism – where one unplugs to reconnect – is emerging as the ultimate form of relaxation. Spending time in silence is thought to not only destress and relax the nervous system, but also activate brain cells and deepen the connection with yourself and others. Silent travel is burgeoning – shhh, can you hear it?
The best silent retreats in Bali:
Bali Silent Retreat is a nature-hugged sanctuary in the mountains of Bali. It offers day, weekend and multi-day retreat programs centred around peaceful contemplation in silence. We’re talking labyrinth-walking, fire ceremonies, and even hot spring bathing enveloped in serenity.
Oneworld Retreats is an Ayurvedic retreat in Ubud that invites guests to do part or all of their Panchakarma Detox Retreat in complete silence…
Affordable Ayurveda

Ayurveda is where ancient science meets modern lifestyle. Oil pulling and tongue scraping aren’t just TikTok trends — they’re 5,000 year-old Ayurvedic remedies. Bali is home to incredible Ayurvedic retreats, but what really sets it apart is the calibre of affordable day spas that make Ayurveda treatments accessible. When it comes to budget-friendly Ayurvedic bliss, I’m all in.
The best affordable Ayurveda treatments in Bali:
Bali Botanica Day Spa in Ubud is a longtime yogi fave for authentic yet luxury Ayurvedic therapies – minus the price tag. I’m obsessed with their four-hand Abhyanga Massage. Two therapists, total equilibrium. And since getting a dream new apothecary of skin and body care, it’s better that ever before.
Dharshana VedaSpa is tucked inside the serene Shala Bali retreat in Ubud. It’s my go-to sanctuary for a weekly Kati Basti to remedy my lower back issues — and for the most blissful, marma point facials that calm my face and mind. Set in an open-air bale, it offers affordable Ayurvedic treatments with full-day retreats complete with yoga, soul-nourishing kitchari, and heavenly hand-blended oils that smell like ancient wisdom, bottled.
