Now, say hello to its super sleek space in the Marina Bay area, located amongst well-known landmarks such as the Esplanade and Marina Bay Sands. We paid a visit to this futuristic new space and we’re digging it! Here’s a sneak preview of why you should pop by this museum as soon as you can…

It opens till late
Yup, it’s the only night museum in Singapore that operates till 2am every day, even on weekends and public holidays!
It gives you a glimpse of the future
Immerse yourself in over two floors of its latest exhibition, A Preview Of The Future, where over 300 Red Dot award-winning design concepts, prototypes and products created by world innovators are showcased in this swanky space.

It gives us another excuse to shop unique products
Shop carefully curated design collectables by Singapore and international designers, as well as winners of the Red Dot Design Awards. Browse through displays of cool knick-knacks at the Design Museum Shop, and bag an alternative gift for a friend — or yourself!

It’s still the home to MAAD
The treasure hunting doesn’t end at the Design Museum Shop. Despite its relocation, the Market of Artists and Designers (MAAD) still remains as an anchor, sustaining efforts to invigorate Singapore’s creative and design scene. Not the usual flea marketplace, MAAD is home to original works where the design community gathers to promote originality, innovation, creativity and artistry. #supportlocal and shop offbeat treasures every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 December 2017 to 1 April 2018 at its new digs.

It takes you on a visual-gastronomical journey
Make a pit stop at its café and bar, and enjoy a dining experience created by Food Anatomy’s Jiaxin and Sean. Get your cameras out for local dishes like Nasi Lemak, Laksa and Chicken Rice, served in the shape of cubes, as well as Chye Seng Huat Hardware and Papa Palheta coffees served in a double-wall glass. Beat the heat and enjoy a pint of ice cold, craft beers by Ibaraki’s Hitachino Nest, and London’s Fourpure.

Red Dot Design Museum, 11 Marina Boulevard, Singapore 018940, p. 6514 0111. Opens from 11am-2am daily.
