Nail wrap application 101
FYI: each kit comes with 12 to 16 nail wraps of various sizes, a nail file and a cuticle pusher stick. Optional items include a base and top coat, plus alcohol wipes or nail polish remover.

- Want the wraps to last longer? Prep your nails, we say. Wipe them down with nail polish remover or alcohol wipes to get rid of any oils. Next, push back those cuticles to make your nail beds look longer and lightly buff your nails so the wraps can stick on easily. For extra protection, apply a layer of base coat. Tip: do it after your shower and avoid water for a couple of hours so the wraps can fully adhere to the nail.
- Choose the closest fit. The wrap should be slightly less wide than your nail bed. Tip: if your nails are short enough, cut the nail wrap in half and save the other half for next time.
- Position the nail wrap and paste it on your nail (make sure it doesn’t stick to the skin). Press down on the middle, then slowly smooth out the sides.
- Pinch the excess and fold it over the tip of the nail.
- Using a nail file, push downwards at a 90-degree angle to the nail until the excess bit breaks off.
- For a longer-lasting finish, apply a top coat layer.
