Get those stretchy pants out; the premier gourmet food festival, SAVOUR, returns this weekend (26 to 29 March) for its fourth edition, and it looks like there are even more highlights to look forward to this year, from the star-studded chef line-up to the exciting culinary workshops.
The Grub
This is your chance to get a taste of Michelin-starred and award winning creations in the casual, laid-back setting of the alfresco-style F1 Pit Building. Over 50 signature dishes by an impressive line-up of both foreign and local chefs will be on offer, so expect to see some familiar names and iconic creations. Sample pad thai by Henrik Yde (Kiin Kiin, Denmark – 1 Michelin Star), braised ox cheeks by Daniel Clifford (Misummer House, UK – 2 Michelin Stars), trio of molecular buns by Alvin Leung (Bo Innovation, Hong Kong – 3 Michelin Stars), and other delights such as &SONS’ lobster mac and cheese and an out-of-this-world chicken skin sundae from Bird Bird (the newest venture by Artichoke’s Bjorn Shen).

The Workshops
If you’re looking for some hands-on fun, sign up for the workshops. Learn to bake along with SAVOUR’s celebrity chefs in the KitchenAid Cooking Studio, or pick up a skill or two from wine experts over at the Wine Theatre. Love sake? You’re in luck. For the first time ever, SAVOUR will be holding sake appreciation workshops, where you can even get certified after completing a class. There’s also the Celebrity Chef Auditorium and Jasons Kitchen if you want to watch your favourite chefs in action as they whip up their signature treats. Also, great news for those with little ones, there’ll be special (free!) cooking sessions for the budding chefs at the SAVOUR Dome Experience Corner.

The Gourmet Market
Looking to take home a little bit of SAVOUR with you? Head to the Gourmet Market to shop for exclusive products like white Japanese strawberries and truffle cheese. Or, show some love for homegrown brands and products (it’s SG50 after all); from nut butters and wine-infused tea to locally-made fruit jams and cold pressed juices, you’ll find them all in one spot.
SAVOUR takes place 26-29 March 2015 at the F1 Pit Building. To purchase tickets and for more info, visit SAVOUR’s official website.
Please note: SAVOUR 2015 will continue on all its scheduled sessions with the exception of the Sunday Lunch Session, which has been cancelled to give everyone the opportunity to pay their respects during Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s funeral service. All Sunday Lunch Session ticket holders can use their ticket to attend any alternative session available. Tickets will be validated at the door.
