After three years, Honeycombers’ Sustainability Awards just got a serious upgrade. Since 2023, we’ve been shining a light on the brands, businesses, and changemakers in Singapore doing the work on sustainability. This year, we’re taking things up several notches: we’ve got a major co-presenter in Resorts World Sentosa, a brand-new judging panel, and something we’ve never done before: a live awards ceremony at Singapore Oceanarium.

What’s new in 2026

The Sustainability Awards 2026, co-presented by Resorts World Sentosa and Honeycombers, marks our first partnership for the awards, and we’re excited to bring you something bigger and bolder.
We’ve also changed up how winners are decided. Previously, it was entirely down to the readers, and we loved the energy you brought (over 20,000 votes cast across all categories last year!). But this time, we’re adding a formal judging panel that counts for 50% of the final score, alongside 50% from public voting. The idea? To ensure that small brands doing brilliant work without a massive marketing budget have just as much of a shot as those with huge Instagram followers.
And let’s not forget the ceremony. On 20 August 2026, we’re bringing 160 guests together at Singapore Oceanarium for a real-life, on-stage awards night, complete with good food and immersive experiences.
Our partnership with Resorts World Sentosa this year

We choose our collaborators carefully, and Resorts World Sentosa was the perfect fit for this partnership because its sustainability story is substantive and verifiable. Anchored by the purpose “Acting with Purpose, Delivering with Impact,” Resorts World Sentosa makes sustainability part of how the resort operates, not just how it markets itself. Together, we mapped out the categories, nominees, awards ceremony, and ways to keep the sustainability recognition ongoing all year round.
Some quick stats about sustainability at Resorts World Sentosa:
- World’s first to be certified to both the Global Sustainable Tourism Council Destination and Hotel Criteria
- Generates up to 3.8 GWh of solar energy annually: enough to power 950 4-room HDB flats
- Two Platinum Zero Energy buildings, including Minionland: Singapore’s first zero-energy attraction
- Rainwater harvesting equivalent to 13 Olympic-sized swimming pools
- Over 60% of seafood responsibly sourced
- More than 45 tonnes of produce sourced from local farms each year
Its long-term sustainability framework, LEAD (Lower emissions, Enhance wellbeing, Amplify impact, Deepen Governance), backs all this up. From marine conservation education at Singapore Oceanarium to sustainable events and conscious consumption programmes, the vision makes luxury and responsibility the standard. And that’s exactly the kind of partner the Sustainability Awards deserves.
Awards featuring Singapore’s top sustainable brands

We’ve got a total of 33 award categories this year, spanning every corner of sustainable living in Singapore. Whether you’re a committed zero-waster or someone who’s just starting to make more conscious choices, there’s something that speaks to you.
Here’s a taste of what we’re celebrating:
Circular Retail & Responsible Products: The shops making it easier (and genuinely more fun) to spend your money well. We’re talking zero-waste grocers, preloved fashion platforms, B Corp certified labels, sustainable jewellery, eco-friendly kids’ brands, and gift ideas that come without the eco-guilt.
Sustainable Dining: It’s Singapore’s food scene with its green hat on, featuring Michelin Green Star winners, cafes championing ethical sourcing, and B Corp certified eateries. There’s also a line-up of plant-based dining options and the catering legends making sustainable events happen.
Wellness & Low-Impact Living: For a glow-up that doesn’t cost the Earth, we’re spotlighting homegrown beauty heroes, green home cleaning brands, and planet-friendly furniture makers.
Green Experiences & Attractions: These are the places and programmes that get us outdoors and into nature, including eco-friendly kids’ educational activities, sustainable events, and urban farms.
Innovation & Climate Solutions: For brands tackling the problem at the root. Green tech apps, finance initiatives, and exciting sustainable packaging solutions are all in contention.
Community Impact, Diversity & Social Mobility: The organisations creating change beyond their product, from sustainable transport options and impactful initiatives to communities that advocate for green living.
Plus, look out for four Headliner Awards: People’s Choice (the brand racking up the highest overall public votes), Sustainability Champion of the Year (veterans driving sustainability leadership), Sustainability Changemaker of the Year (rising voices for change), and the RWS Grand Sustainability Award, co-curated and presented by Resorts World Sentosa at the ceremony.

Introducing the judging panel

Here’s how the 50/50 judging split works. Half the score comes from the public vote. The other half comes from a panel of three judges who will assess nominees on criteria that include making sustainability central to what the brand does (not just a marketing add-on) and delivering real, tangible outcomes.
Plus, the question they’ll always come back to is, “Would I recommend this to a friend as a great sustainable choice?”
The panel:
Chris Edwards, Founder and CEO of Honeycombers. An advocate for sustainability in Singapore, she’s got a finely tuned radar for what’s real versus what’s greenwashed.
Loh Su Kim, Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Resorts World Sentosa. With deep sustainability commitments at Resorts World Sentosa, she’s well-placed to assess what integrated, meaningful sustainability looks like.
Tan Ching Hwee, Council Member and Chair of the Sustainability Action Group, from the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME). As the Official Amplifying Partner, he brings the SME community’s perspective to the table, which matters when the nominee list includes everyone from one-person micro-brands to established chains.

Our first-ever awards night at Singapore Oceanarium

On 20 August 2026, the Resorts World Sentosa x Honeycombers Sustainability Awards 2026 will go IRL for the first time. We’re hosting 160 guests at Singapore Oceanarium’s spectacular Ocean Gallery and presenting 15 awards on stage across the evening.
But the night is more than a trophy moment: there’s a curated Impact Showcase where guests can discover and connect with sustainability-focused brands, good food and drinks, and the kind of conversations that happen when people who care about green living are in the same room together.
Part celebration, part networking, part sustainability showcase, we’re calling it our biggest night yet.
