It’s official. The Raffles Reopening Festival is pulling all the stops on 18 October for an epic party. Best of all, you could win two exclusive passes to experience the iconic bash!
The home of the Singapore Sling and old world charm, The Raffles Hotel’s history goes as far as 1887. While the Grand Dame might have softly opened doors after renovations few months ago, the iconic institution is pulling all the stops for a reopening party worthy of the history books. If you’d like to spend Friday, 18 October celebrating An Iconic Return – The Raffles Reopening Festival, you’ve come to the right place. Read on to find out what makes this bash iconic and how you could be one of five lucky winners to win a pair of tickets (worth $600) to celebrate the occasion.
Gorgeous is an understatement
The facade of the Raffles Hotel is gorgeous enough, but when you hear that you’re invited to explore a few of the suites (typically reserved for staying guests), it gets even better. Immerse yourself in luxurious suite experiences and explore the lush grounds of the hotel’s beautiful gardens while you’re there. Cameras at the ready!
Gourmet experiences to end the night
You won’t just be getting a peek into the suites, you’ll be sampling creations from resident celebrity chef concepts too. Think La Dame de Pic’s berlingots or the cucumber with Oscietra caviar from chef Anne-Sophie Pic (one of the world’s top female chefs!), yi by Jereme Leung’s Shanghai-style braised carp fish with soya sauce and BBR by Alain Ducasse’s Galician-style octopus or tuna tartare.
Miss the resident Tiffin Room? Rejoice because this restaurant has been back since June with North Indian eats from Rajasthan to Punjab. Another mainstay establishment of Raffles Hotel, we’re stoked to check out the Raffles Courtyard with its summer drinks and Southeast Asian bites.
Who’s taking the stage?
The reopening of this historically poignant hotel warrants inviting the most iconic local acts (alongside internationally renowned performers) to the party. Notably, expect ‘national treasure’ Kit Chan, ‘Singapore’s First Lady of jazz’ Rani Singam, jazz pianist Jeremy Monteiro, singer-songwriter Inch Chua and indie-pop band The Sam Willows to wow the audience with their stellar performances.
More surprises await, but be quick – booking is essential! We’re happy to report that the Raffles Hotel will be donating proceeds from The Raffles Reopening Festival ticket sales to the Community Chest, the National Council of Social Service’s fundraising and engagement arm.
