So you’ve shopped ’til you’ve dropped and need a couple of cold ones to kick back with? We’ve rounded up our favourite happy hour spots in Orchard Road – Singapore’s most famous shopping street – with stellar deals on beer, house pours, wine and cocktails. Drink up!
Tanuki Raw
Unlike the pesky alcohol police, the peeps at Tanuki Raw know how to have a good time. The daily happy hour from 5pm-8pm not only includes $10 martinis and cocktails, but freshly shucked oysters at $2 apiece as well. And of course, if it’s drinks and dinner you’re after, don’t miss out on the decadent bowl of truffle yakiniku donburi.

Brewerkz
Here’s one bar you’ll want to make several trips to. Each week, Brewerkz’s Orchard branch offers $2 off its beer of the week before 7pm, and $3 off after 7pm. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for the weekly brews, but expect favourites like the creamy oatmeal stout and the refreshing pilsner, as well as more adventurous honey-infused ales. Complement your drink with hearty German and American dishes like schnitzels and, a personal favourite, the cowboy bacon burger.

Acid Bar
Aside from being a rowdy hangout to appease our post-work thirst and its daily live music sessions, Acid Bar also offers one of Orchard’s longer daily happy hour deals. From 5pm-9pm, you can enjoy the sweet sounds of Acid Bar’s live bands and grab a pint of draught beer for $10.90++, house pour liquors at $6++, or a Martini at $9.90++.

Martini Bar @ Mezza 9
Offering over 50 different signature martinis, this swanky bar never fails to give us a case of decidophobia whenever we’re there. To keep our heads from spinning, we like to stick to the classic martini that’s 50 per cent off (along with wine and house pours) Monday through Friday, from 6pm to 9pm. Happy hour starts at 3pm on Saturday if you’re in the mood for an afternoon tipple.
