Regardless of being “more of a mac and cheese person”, there are some things Britney needs to try when in Singapore
We love Britney, we really do. Which is why we’re super stoked for her upcoming show in Singapore on 30 June. Being huge Britney fans, we’ve followed her through every album, every comeback, every hairstyle, and every interview. Yup, even the recent one with The New Paper – and Brit Brit, we have some questions for you.
First of all, she said she’s not really “an ethnic food person” and then she continued to say she’s “not keen to try [Singapore’s] local food”. Gurl, we’re truly fond of you, but you shouldn’t be saying things like that in interviews – especially when it comes to Singapore.
In case you haven’t heard, Singapore’s one of the best food capitals in the world. Don’t hate on it ’til you’ve tried these any of these 50 best local foods and drinks that our hawker culture has to offer. We even have Michelin-approved hawker stalls, Britney; do we have your attention now?
Or you can meet us halfway, Britney Jean. If “ethnic” is not of your palate, then perhaps a more modern twist to our local flavours would be tempting to you? There’s a bak chor mee grilled cheese sandwich from Loof or Angus beef satay from Redpan on our list of Mod-Sin dishes, that we think would make it on her food-to-try list.
But y’know, if Mac and Cheese is what you want like you said in your interview, then do as you please. We also have a killer list of where to get the best Mac and Cheese in Singapore. Gimme more, you say?
Britney Live in Singapore, June 30, 8pm, Singapore Indoor Stadium. Tickets start from $268 and are available here
