Craving traditional British food for a weekend lunch or dinner (that isn't brunch or high tea)? These Sunday roasts will make you feel right at home.
Dainty cucumber sarnies or the usual brunch don’t do it for you? Perhaps it’s time to pay a little attention to this British institution: the Sunday roast, consisting of slices of roast beef, roasted or mashed potato, roasted vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. We’ve scoured the island and put together a list of our favourite restaurants that do up hearty portions of this quintessential British meal.
Best Sunday roasts in Singapore for the ultimate weekend treat
1. Bread Street Kitchen
Sundays are never the same without a roast, and this restaurant wants everyone in Singapore to experience the British staple. Swing by on an empty stomach and savour your meat of choice served with the prerequisite trimmings, including fluffy Yorkshire pudding and a generous side of vegetables roasted to perfection. Pair your meal with your fave tipple and bask in the stunning waterfront view as you dig in.
Bread Street Kitchen, Sundays, 12pm-10pm; #01-81, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018956
2. Little Island Brewing Co.
If you find yourself in Changi, we urge you to stop by Little Island. Its Sunday roast boasts an impressive meat selection that’ll fill you up. Can’t decide on what to get? Go for the farmhouse combo platter, which lets you devour all three proteins. You can knock back a few beers after your meal or take a lovely walk to digest everything.

3. Col
Here’s another restaurant throwing its hat into the Sunday roast ring. Let Col lift your weekend mood with its angus beef striploin, Kurobuta pork, or Tajima wagyu prime rib. Wash everything down with a spicy margarita or mimosa. If you’re dining in a group, we suggest getting the wood-fired flatbread and king crab crispy tacos to share before the main event.
Col, last Sunday of the month, 12pm-3.30pm; #01-05, The Working Capitol Building, 1 Keong Saik Road, Singapore 089109
4. Lion Brewery Co
You may be familiar with this Club Street establishment for its craft beers, but did you know it serves a mean plate of roast too? Choose between the French chicken, New Zealand ribeye, pork belly lechon, and lamb leg for your weekend treat. Add a pint of beer to celebrate making it through the end of another brutal week. Of course, don’t forget about desserts: the Beer A Misu comes highly recommended.
Lion Brewery Co, Saturdays – Sundays and public holidays, 11.30am-3pm; 36 Club Street, Singapore 069469
5. Muddy Murphy’s
We can personally attest to this roast, having spent many a Sunday here catching up with the fam. The thick slices of hand-carved beef sirloin smothered in red wine sauce, roast potatoes, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding make Muddy Murphy’s a firm favourite. And, being an Irish pub, you won’t be short of beers and stouts to wash all that down.

6. Level33
Sunday roast usually brings to mind rustic English-style eateries and taverns, but if you’d like to (literally) elevate your experience, book a table at the world’s highest urban microbrewery. Level33’s contemporary take on the English roast features freshly shucked oysters (oh yes!), wagyu rump, lamb rump and pork collar served with all the trimmings. Oh, and you’ll want to pair it with stellar sides like mac and cheese, fried Brussels sprouts and Yorkshire pudding. Did we mention you’ll enjoy a killer view to boot?

Quench your thirst with sodas, sakes, craft beers and classic cocktails. That sounds like our kind of Sunday roast!
