Come along on 28 May, and meet a group of females leading the charge in destigmatising periods
We are all about female empowerment here at Honeycombers Hong Kong. From interviewing amazing entrepreneurs like Diane Younes to sharing the most inspirational Hong Kong women on Instagram to rounding up Taiwanese female musicians you need to know about, we think women can do anything. So when the team over at Menstrual Awareness Day asked us to partner with them to promote their upcoming event, of course we jumped at the chance. Find out why you need to get tickets right now!
Get ready for Menstrual Awareness Day
A collaboration between Naturopathic Fertility specialist Dr. Katherine Dale, The Vibe Tribe and chemical-free period product makers Luuna Naturals, Menstrual Awareness Day will be happening on 28 May, 2019 at Alive Wellness, and the event is all about providing body-knowledge and self-awareness for women – yes, Queens!
So what’s happening at Menstrual Awareness Day?
The event will kick off at 5:30pm with a discussion around breaking taboos in regards to periods with Dr. Katherine Dale and Olivia Holcome, CEO of Luuna Naturals. Then, get settled in for an evening of panel discussions on topics, such as green periods and period poverty #leavenogirlbehind.
Workshops on healing period pain with natural medicine and charting your cycle will take place, as well as tips on Reiki healing for menstruation, periods and tech, and a sound gong bath. Finally, there will be a screening of a film that begins to break down the taboo of menstruation in India, along with songs by Priscilla Lee. Of course there’ll be room at the end for networking with amazing like-minded women from across Hong Kong (including the Honeycombers Hong Kong team!)
