Want to take your yoga practice to the next level? Enrol in one of these yoga teacher training (YTT) courses in Bali, from 200 to 300 hours & beyond!
If you’ve been practising yoga for some time but you still need more yoga in your life, then you might be ready for a yoga teacher training course in Bali! Across this magical island you’ll find all sorts of different yoga teacher training courses in every neighbourhood, from the jungles of Ubud to the black sands of Canggu. But which course is the one for you? We’ve found the very best yoga teacher training courses in Bali to help you make the big decision. But before we dive in, let’s first take a look at the YTT lingo you’ll want to be familiar with before you take the plunge.
RYS or RYT? Here’s the Yoga Alliance-related terms you need to know
Yoga Alliance is the representative of the yoga community. It ensures that teachers are qualified to teach safely by setting competency standards. A yoga school can choose to register with Yoga Alliance, in which case you’ll see a “Registered Yoga School” or “RYS” logo on the school’s public platforms. A RYS teaches a yoga teacher training curriculum which is approved by Yoga Alliance. The schools we list below are all Yoga Alliance-accredited Registered Yoga Schools. Only those who have completed a yoga teacher training course at a RYS are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance and earn the title of a”Registered Yoga Teacher” or “RYT”. This could be important for those who want to teach professionally, as some studios and retreats require the teacher to be RYT-certified.
200 vs 300-hour yoga teacher training courses
Ever wondered if yoga teacher training is only for advanced yogis? Well that depends! A 200-hour training, or sometimes referred to as level 1, has no prerequisite; it is meant for everyone who wants to advance their yoga knowledge. However, it is advisable that you already have established a regular personal yoga practice. You’ll need to complete at least a 200-hour training to qualify as a teacher.
You can think of a 300-hour training, or level 2, as an advanced 200-hour training. It can be taken only by those who have completed a 200-hour training, usually wanting to lead their own retreats. But fret not yoga junkies, if you just can’t get enough of yoga after your 200-hour training, you can also take a 300-hour training for your personal yoga journey. Some schools offer a 500-hour training, which is a combination of the 200- and 300-hour training. Ready to get started? Here’s where you can join a Yoga Teacher Training course in Bali…
