Bali’s New Wine Store, Lounge, & Restaurant
They say life is too short to drink bad wine and we couldn’t agree more, which is why we are chuffed that VIN + has just opened in Seminyak.
If you’ve been to the Big Durian recently, you may be familiar with the name as there are already four “wine boutiques” in Jakarta. The brand new Bali outlet has a fabulous wine shop that stocks over 18,000 bottles – needless to say, we were like a kid in a candy store – with everything from affordable (yes, even in Bali) drops to some serious bottles of vintage wines.
Enjoy a bottle in the open air lounge where you’re surrounded by a dramatic 20m high bamboo structure or dine in the covered al fresco restaurant. Nibble on delicious goodies from the charcuterie board, munch on a duck croquette, or dive into a hearty lamb shank or mushroom risotto. Whatever you choose to eat you know you’ll find the perfect wine to accompany it. If you can’t find anything in that cellar, you aren’t looking hard enough!
We are also looking forward to attending some of the masterclasses so we’ll be able to tell the difference between a fruity aroma and a butterscotch bouquet.
But let’s not forget our other favourite wine spots. The Winehouse in Kerobokan has a fabulous bottle shop and bar where they serve beautiful wine by the glass, as well as delicious tapas. Divine Wine Bar at Bridges in Ubud is another pet fave, where Divine Happy Hour runs between 4pm-7pm.
