EATMEPOPTART presents LoveLive: 4 March at Montreux Jazz Cafe
Get ready to boogie, Poptart fans. A brand new monthly series, LoveLive, comes to you this March courtesy of the indie party curators. For its debut sesh, Poptart will feature Singapore’s finest bands, including synth-pop maestros, Disco Hue, and dream-pop whizzes, Subsonic Eye. The party promises to continue late into the night, as DJs weelikeme & KiDG end the dance sesh on a high note.

Air Supply Live in Singapore 2017: 4 and 5 March at Sands Theatre
Take a walk down memory lane with Air Supply: a soft-rock duo who provided the soundtracks for budding romances of the ’80s. Catch them live on 4 and 5 March as they charm audiences with their well-known classic ballads like “All Out Of Love”, “Lost In Love”, and “Sweet Dreams”. Bring your folks along to this one!

La Femme Live in Singapore: 7 March at SCAPE Ground Theatre
France’s high-profile kraut-rock band, La Femme, makes its debut in Singapore on 7 March. Dubbed the “Future of French Rock”, the band has its own unique grit-glam sound, thanks to retro influences from Gene Vincent, The Velvet Underground and Kraftwerk. Hear their latest and long-awaited album Mystère, and even catch an opening set from Singapore’s own noir-rock misfits, TOMGIRL.

Live Nation Lushington presents The Temper Trap Live in Singapore: 10 March at The Coliseum
Fresh off the release of their third studio album, Thick As Thieves, the indie-rock veterans from Down Under are set to perform live in Singapore at Hard Rock Hotel on 10 March. They certainly made quite an impression during their debut at the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in 2011. And once again, us fans can catch Dougie Mandagi and co. perform their monolithic, chart-topping anthems like “Sweet Disposition” and “Trembling Hands” in the flesh. We can hardly wait.

The Warrior Album Launch: 11 March at Studio Point
We’re always about supporting local talent here, and someone who deserves the spotlight in March is Tim De Cotta. The soulful bassist-vocalist extraordinaire draws attention to the world’s issues with his music, and seeks an audience to share in his journey of actively living and creating a better future together. And did we also mention he’s one of the most hardworking hustlers in the scene? His debut album, The Warrior, is slated to launch on 11 March, and will kick off with an opening set by Astronauts.

Hipster Festival 2017: 11-12 March at Fort Canning Park
While we’re in two minds about the concept behind the Hipster Festival, there’s one thing we can’t deny: the music’s going to be fab. Its music lineup sees some of the hottest names in the local indie scene, including shoegazers, Cosmic Child; Singapore’s version of the Fab Four, The Pinholes; alongside indie-rockers, Bakers in Space, and hip-hop duo, Campfire.

Syndicate Subsessions Presents Tennyson Live: 15 March at Montreux Jazz Cafe
Home to left-field local producers like Kiat, Cherry Chan, .gif and Intriguant, Syndicate is a label and audio-visual collective that’s been keeping the underground scene afloat by fostering artistes and organising events. And for its latest rodeo, it’s invading the classy confines of Montreux Jazz Café with a Syndicate Subsessions showcase from Tennyson, a trend-bending brother-sister duo from Canada. Tennyson’s sets are quite a sight to behold – think slippery synth solos locking in with equally serpentine drum arrangements.

Songs for Children presents Honeyblood: 27 March at Hood Bar and Cafe
Formed in Glasgow in 2012, Honeyblood is made up of singer-slash-guitarist Stina Marie Claire Tweeddale and drummer Cat Myer. Reminiscent of ’90s fuzz-crusted icons like Sonic Youth and Throwing Muses, the powerhouse duo are dubbed one of the UK’s most exciting new bands and it’s easy to see why – they’re the perfect combination of noise pop and indie-rock. Get ready to thrash the dancefloor with their new album, Babes Never Die (a power-packed record of energetic anthems), and fiery hits like “Ready For The Magic” and “Sea Hearts”.

The Fin Live in Singapore: 30 March at Millian Singapore
Since 2012, Japanese band, The Fin, has been making waves with their slick blend of synth-pop, chill-wave and dream-pop. The band’s temporary move to London clearly did good for them, with their well-earned headlining slots in events like the Great Escape Festival. On 30 March, watch as they perform their spring release Through The Deep, as well as previous EPs like Night Time that helped turned them into crossover successes.

Coldplay – A Head Full of Dreams Tour: 31 March and 1 April at the National Stadium
Rainbow confetti butterflies, silhouettes and sparklers, splotches of paint and humongous bouncy balloons – a Coldplay gig is rarely just a concert; it is an experience. Gracing the stage of the National Stadium on 31 March and 1 April , these anthem-makers behind hits like “Yellow”, “The Scientist”, “Fix You” and “Viva La Vida” return with yet another triumphant, over-the-top spectacle that – if it’s anything like past years – will leave you breathless and soaked in your own happy tears. Promoting their latest album, A Head Full Of Dreams, these down-to-Earth Brits are set to show why they’re still as relevant as ever with songs both old and new.

Singapore Jazz Festival 2017: 31 March to 2 April at Marina Bay Sands
Keeping with the tradition of curating mega lineups, the 2017 edition of Sing Jazz is one-upping itself yet again with a stellar bevy of local and international musicians. Get ready to be starry-eyed, because kicking off on Friday night (31 March) is none other than homegrown jazz outfit, Aaron James Lee Trio, followed by British DJ Gilles Peterson with the Zara McFarlane Band featuring Nubya Garcia and MC Earl Zinger before closing the night with critically-acclaimed crooner, Corinne Bailey Rae. Other huge names include, Ray Parker Junior, Grammy Award winner Esperanza Spalding and Youssou Ndour & Le Super Etoile de Dakar, and David Foster. Read our full list of highlights here.
