PSA for all you Bali-loving shopaholics! Canggu IS the new Seminyak. We just came back from a 48-hour shopping spree and here are the stores you need to hit...
If you haven’t noticed yet, we have a serious weakness for Bali. The Island of the Gods isn’t just our favourite destination for stunning beaches and fabulous restaurants and cafes – it’s got shopping in spades, especially if you love homewares and summer style. We’re fresh from a weekend in Canggu, a formerly quiet neighbourhood best known for its surf spots and organic cafes, and can confirm that it’s where it’s at. Note this down now: The best home decor and fashion stores are located along Berawa and Batu Bolong. Word of advice? Don’t forget your plastics, people.
Bungalow Living

Like Kim Soo in Seminyak, this home decor Mecca is a must-visit whenever you’re in Bali. Start your morning right by fuelling up with a healthy juice and crisp salad at its cafe-slash-store, then cross over to the next street where the real shopping begins in its large retail space. Don’t be surprised (or be too guilty) if you walk out with a bag full of nifty treasures – the store’s got everything from crochet cushions to handloomed raw tasseled throws to woven baskets and hand-painted jars. If you’re buying larger items, check out the site for international shipping charges.
Bungalow Living, Jalan Raya Pantai Berawa No.35, Canggu, Kuta Utara, Bali, 80361, Indonesia
Beyond Borders
If the elegant and relaxed Hamptons coastal style is your thing, you’ll love Beyond Borders. Check out its new flagship store at Canggu; made up of two floors, the first has everything you need to turn your living space into the beachside home of your dreams, including rustic boatwood furniture, bedside lamps and decorating pieces like placemats and baskets. We particularly love the teak pieces of chopping boards, serving bowls and decorative bowls.
Beyond Borders, Jalan Subaksari, #90 tibubeneng, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia 80361
Billie’s

In a tropical state of mind? You’ll love Billie’s. The lifestyle store stocks a wealth of home accessories inspired by the beach, including pineapple shaped bowls and baskets, flamingo sculptures, pompom-dotted Borneo baskets and brightly printed handwoven cushions. Prices are affordable here, so expect to go a little overboard on your buys. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Billie’s, Jalan Pantai Berawa 150, Canggu Corner, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia
The Jungle Trader

As much as we love the homeware scene in Bali, the style can be repetitive, so trust us when we say that The Jungle Trader’s style is very distinctive. Described as “where the ocean and the jungle meet”, the leafy stores curates curios and collectibles from all over the world. You’ll find all the bits and bobs you need for a tropicool home – think raffia lights, handwoven baskets from villages in Borneo, and Batik throws.
The Jungle Trader, Jalan Pantai Berawa, 46X, Canggu, Bali
Love Anchor Canggu
Located along the famed Batu Bolong stretch in a wooden complex lit up by fairylights, Love Anchor is Canggu’s version of a night market. Climb up the ladders to the top floors for a variety of homeware and surf stores, or hang out on the first to shop ladies swimwear or accessories from makeshift stalls.
Love Anchor Canggu, Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong, No 56, C Canggu-Bali.

Auguste the Label
We’ve always had a soft spot for the free-spirited style of Auguste the Label. The environmentally conscious brand has got all the summer essentials you need to look effortless from the beach to the city. Trust us – you’ll want the slinky little camis, off shoulder numbers and frilled maxi dresses with thigh high slits to flaunt your pins.
Auguste the Label, Batu Bolong No. 97, The Slow Hotel Canggu.
