Curious what a fully-serviced living experience is like? We give you the lowdown at Weave Suites – Hillside, an all-inclusive stay in the serene neighborhood of Mount Sophia.
I’ve had my fair share of staying in cosy boutique hotels, classy abodes and tropical resorts on vacations. But staying in a premium serviced apartment? Still on my bucket list. With most of my past trips being short-term holidays, I haven’t stayed in a full-serviced abode. That is, until I got the opportunity to live the cushy life at one of Singapore’s newest serviced apartments, Weave Suites – Hillside.
Part of the Weave Living Group, Weave Suites – Hillside recently opened its doors in March. As its second location in Singapore (the first being Weave Suites – Midtown in Kampong Glam), this property on Wilkie Road caught my eye with its thoughtfully-designed units, hotel-like amenities and prime location. Bags packed and ready to unwind, I made my way to my first serviced apartment experience.
Before you move in…
Weave Suites – Hillside prides itself on providing a seamless living experience, and it lived up to the promise from the onset. Before moving in, I downloaded the Weave App – a dedicated mobile app for residents. It lets you do everything from managing your booking and checking your bills to staying updated with announcements and registering for upcoming events. Plus, there’s a help centre for fuss-free issue reporting or emergency assistance.
During the sign-up process, there were also a couple of questions about my background and lifestyle preferences (including my go-to drink). Psst: these tidbits of information will go towards curating events and a personalised stay experience for you!
The initial vibe check
If you need a landmark to get here, look out for Wilkie Edge shopping mall, and you’ll spot Weave Suites – Hillside beside it. A tropical-inspired mural came into view before I entered the lobby, and I was welcomed by the friendly community team.

First impressions? I loved how warm and inviting the space looks. The interiors are anchored by a teal and cream colour palette, spruced up with wooden and marble furnishing, and finished off with cosy, warm lighting.
This design style continues throughout the property and the 175 serviced apartments for a cohesive look. You can find a mix of open plan suites, one-bedroom suites, and family-friendly two-bedroom apartments that cater to various needs, from solo business travellers to couples and families.
All you need in one apartment

After a quick check-in process, I was whisked away to my home for a night: the Junior Suite. Suitable for two pax, the stylish space comes fully-furnished and ready for move-in. While the space is at a modest size of 37 sqm, it comfortably fits a hotel-grade queen bed, a living area with a sofa and a smart TV, a kitchen (includes a fridge, a cooktop, a kettle and a microwave), a washer and dryer, a work desk, and a private bathroom. I liked how each area had its demarcated space, so it didn’t feel cramped. Plus, you get plenty of storage space, which comes in handy for longer stays.

Essential bathroom, hotel-grade bedding and kitchen amenities are also provided. Think shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and kitchenware. During the weekly housekeeping and general cleaning service, these amenities (including your linen) will be replaced and replenished accordingly. Coupled with the 24-hour security, it’s akin to staying at a hotel.
As I was working remotely, I appreciated the abundance of power sockets, which let me work conveniently from any corner of the suite. My favourite spot was the dining table and high chair area that almost felt like I was working from a cafe – all I needed was an iced latte in hand.
Work hard, play harder

Of course, we have to talk about the stellar facilities. Designed with modern-day urbanites in mind, 24-hour accessible workspaces and lounge areas are scattered across two sprawling floors for a productive session anytime. Need to take a call or hold a meeting? Head to the phone booths and meeting rooms for some privacy. I particularly like the seats near the windows that are bathed in natural sunlight and offer tranquil street views.
When it’s time to clock out from work, make your way to the entertainment room to play some pool, foosball or darts. Or belt out your favourite tunes at the karaoke room that rivals other commercial venues. And if a movie night is more up your alley, book the theatre room. Outfitted with a wide projector screen and plush beanbags, it’s a private cinema experience at your doorstep.

All about an active lifestyle? Get your sweat session at the gym (it’s decently set up with your usual weights, treadmills and a couple of machines) or the yoga studio featuring yoga blocks and mats. We hear yoga and exercise classes are in the works, so residents can keep your eyes peeled! With a range of other shared spaces like the outdoor terraces, dining area and kitchen, there are many opportunities for socialising.
A sweet spot in the city
I’ll be honest. When I first caught wind of Weave Suites – Hillside, I was most stoked about the neighbourhood. With a central location on Mount Sophia, the property is within walking distance of not one, but six MRT stations, including Dhoby Ghaut, Little India, Rochor and Orchard!
An array of restaurants, cafes, casual eateries, malls, and attractions (such as the National Museum of Singapore, Mint Museum of Toys and National Library) are mere strolls away; as are parks, medical centres and sports facilities. If you’re itching to go further, a 15-minute ride will take you to the heart of town or the CBD. Tried and tested by yours truly, it was a breeze to go out for a breather or grab a bite anytime.

During my stay, I ventured near Bras Basah for affordable grub at Fortune Centre. This 20-storey building is known for its vegetarian fare, but you can find other hidden gems.
I recommend A9 Noodle Dumpling for a comforting bowl of noodle soup and chive dumplings for $4, or Hangawi Korean Food for Korean fare below $10. Another spot I checked out was Gr.id on Selegie Road, where I indulged in a bang-for-your-buck Korean feast at Muslim-owned Meokja by Jungga. One thing’s for sure: you’ll never go hungry or be bored in this bustling neighbourhood.
Weave Suites – Hillside: Is it worth a stay?
Now, here’s the million dollar question: will I recommend a stay at Weave Suites – Hillside? If a fully-serviced living experience is what you’re coveting, I’ll say yes in a heartbeat.
Enjoy a hassle-free stay, inclusive of housekeeping, maintenance and security services, as well as access to a range of amenities, shared spaces and a warm community. Let’s not forget about the prime location with food and leisure spots easily within reach. With flexible lease options starting from six nights, short and long-term stays are all welcome.
Check out Weave Suites – Hillside and you might just find your next home away from home!
