Bali calling: here’s what I’d do with 72 hours at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, from sipping on Balixology cocktails to soothing my nerves at Sava Spa.
Whenever life in the city gets a bit much (read: endless deadlines and way too much screen time), I find myself fantasising about a quick reset in Bali. Think: a healing escape with spa time, barefoot beach walks, wholesome food, and of course, a tipple or two. When I heard about the offerings at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, it instantly went on my list of places to visit. If you’re planning your next getaway, or just keen to daydream about a beachfront retreat, peep the three-day itinerary I’ve drawn up for an ideal long weekend trip to Bali…

Day one: Cocktails by the pool and a beachfront dinner

Sitting within one of Bali’s famed neighbourhoods, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach blends modern architecture with elements of traditional and artisanal Balinese design. Check into one of the villas and you’ll be tempted to plop on its plush beds… but resist the temptation ‘cos the Cave Pool Lounge awaits.
Swing by this breezy pool bar to laze on a lounger and dip your toes in the water as you settle into your Bali vacay. Bar bites range from skewers to pizza to burgers, with cocktails and mocktails to wash it all down. Try the Cave Spritz that puts a spin on Aperol with dry gin, elderflower, soda, and sparkling wine – it’s fizzy, sweet, and refreshing.

As the sky darkens, take a seat at SugarSand for dinner. This waterfront restaurant is a crowd favourite, bringing the casual charm of a Japanese izakaya to the lively vibes of Seminyak Beach. Signature dishes include the prawn salad, salmon with house teriyaki, and kiwami wagyu collar blade. Sushi, maki rolls, and desserts are available, too. Cap off your meal with Japanese cocktails like the Hana-Me, featuring Tenjaku Japanese gin with bitters, tonic water, sakura, and yuzu for a boozy and beautifully floral sip.
Day two: Yoga, breakfast, local art, and spa

Awaken your mind and body by centering yourself with a morning yoga session. Depending on the day of your stay, choose between a graceful surya hatta yoga routine on Saturday mornings at Sava Spa or an invigorating vinyasa yoga practice on Sunday mornings at the Villa Garden, thanks to the resort’s array of wellness activities. Once you’ve treated your body with a dose of movement, it’s time to fuel up at Breakfast Club Seminyak with an array of wholesome options, from smoothies to oat bowls to bagels and toast.

Spend mid-morning immersing yourself in the arts: Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach gives you a taste of local culture and heritage with an array of hands-on workshops at Neighbourhood Gallery. Try your hand at endek painting (a Balinese textile art form), or step up to a traditional Balinese dance class.

Now, you can’t miss a traditional Balinese massage when you’re on the island. Pop into the soothing Sava Spa for head-to-toe relaxation. You won’t go wrong with the Sava Balinese Signature or the traditional Seminyak massage. To pamper your skin, try the rice cloves lemongrass scrub or the hydration facial to restore your glow.
Want it all? Opt for one of the full packages that treats you to a massage, cleansing scrub and facial in one rejuvenating session. As a desk-bound urbanite, my tense shoulders are calling out for the Glowing and Purity package that focuses on healing neck, back and shoulder tension…

Psst: if you’re looking to trim your locks, rejuvenate your scalp, or give your tresses a dose of TLC, Sava Spa has recently debuted a premium hair salon created in collaboration with the luxury Italian haircare brand, Davines. Styling sessions for ladies and gents? Check. Multi-functional hair masks personalised to your hair woes? Check. We hear that the salon even offers nail care treatments and polish.

Once you’re all prepped and pampered, go on a gastronomic journey through the flavours of Southeast Asia for dinner. Feast on comforting and authentic dishes from the likes of Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore within a casual, laidback setting at Makase. Crowd pleasers include pho bo, tom yum, rendang and more. Then, end your night with cocktails at Tree Bar, where its Balixology experience takes centre stage. Here, bartenders use locally sourced herbs, fruits and spices to create innovative tipples like LakLak Reborn, inspired by a Balinese dessert; Mantra, a butterfly pea creation; and Kacicang, a twist on a rose gimlet with ginger torch flower.
Day three: Tai chi and chakra balancing

The final morning in paradise calls for something gentle yet grounding: a tai chi session. Enjoy the calm, intentional movements of this traditional practice at Garden Villa or Sava Spa with a Mind & Body private session. After that, make your way to Breakfast Club Seminyak for a relaxing breakfast by the beach. From smoked salmon baguette, to crab omelette, to quinoa bowls, go forth and order up a hearty breakfast before you leave.
Before you really say goodbye, slot in a chakra balancing and healing session before you get back into city life. By the time you’re checking out of your stay at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, you’ll feel like you’ve hit reset on your mind, body, and soul.
The next time you’re feeling the effects of your frazzled nerves, you know where to go. (And don’t miss our 10% off discount quote at the top of this article!) A weekend of healing activities and amazing food, all accessible within approximately three hours from Singapore? I’m feeling the urge to pack my bags already…
