A day out with food and fun attractions!
We get it: school holidays can be a bit of a blessing or a stressful time. All that potential quality time together, but how do you keep the kids without curling up into a ball? If you’re looking for somewhere to take the family this holiday season, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands has got you covered. We’ve even got your itinerary sorted.
Kids dine free
But first, perk alert! Little ones can dine free at DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe, IPPUDO or Yardbird Southern Table & Bar if you’ve visited the ArtScience Museum, Digital Light Canvas or Sands SkyPark Observation Deck. From now till 31 Mar 2019, receive a Kid’s Meal Voucher with your attractions ticket. Grab the full details on where kids can dine free at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
Morning: DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe + ArtScience Museum
Join the Justice League by having brunch at the DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe. Get your caffeine boost with The Flash’s espresso and have your fill of the Dark Knight’s burger. DC fans will have loads of fun geeking out here – superhero logos are emblazoned across the food, and even the menu is peppered with animations.
DC Comics Super Heroes Cafe, 2 Bayfront Avenue, L1-03, Bay Level, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore 018972
Don’t put your phones away just yet – there’s more Instagramming to do at The ArtScience Museum. Head into the dazzling lights of the Space gallery, play with the Nature exhibit’s digitally programmed waterfall and watch it respond to your every movement, or ponder your mortality with the Sanctuary’s blooming and fading (read: dying) cherry blossoms.
ArtScience Museum, 6 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018974
Afternoon: Ippudo + Digital Light Canvas
We love Ippudo for its addictive broths and the option to choose how well done you want your noodles. Look out for Singapore exclusives on the menu like the Tori Shoyu ramen with clear chicken broth and yuzu, the niku soba with sliced pork belly, and the spicy black with a homemade minced meat curry paste. Give the new dishes a go too – samurai ribs and almond jelly noodle sound good to you?
Little ones can also get a wholesome and hearty kids meal with Ippudo Kid’s Delight Set! Kids aged 12 and below can enjoy Ippudo’s original tonkotsu ramen, paired with healthy rice balls and homemade potato salad with mixed veggies. Oishii!
Ippudo, 2 Bayfront Avenue, B2-54, Canal Level, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore 018972
Now on to some mesmerising digital art installations. With Digital Light Canvas’ Strokes Of Life, watch as your footsteps blossom into calligraphic art. Meanwhile, Nature’s Rhythm lets you witness the ground transform into a fish-filled ocean, or admire flocks of birds that appear in the crystal light installation above. Guaranteed to blow your kid’s mind.

Night: Yardbird Southern Table & Bar + Sands SkyPark Observation Deck
End the day with a treat – hey, after all that time wrangling the kids, we’re down for some classic American food at Yardbird Southern Table & Bar. The signature 100-year-old family recipe Lewellyn’s fine fried chicken is the show pony, while highlights for kids include the Little Burger with short rib, brisket and chuck blend, as well as the crispy chicken drumstick.

And what better way to finish your epic day out than with amazing views? Spectra’s free-to-public nightly show captivates with a symphony of water, light and music along the bay. For a gorgeous 360 view of the skyline, head up to the Sands SkyPark Observation Deck that’s 56 floors above ground – now this is a day you won’t forget.
