One of our favourite things to do in Singapore, just like the rest of you, is to indulge in a fabulous, luxury staycation. It’s the easiest way to get some real rest and relaxation without having to actually get on a plane. Of course, you can always stay with your main squeeze, but for us, there’s nothing as fun as hitting a top hotel with our BFF and indulging not only in the food, booze and pool but also in taking some fabulous pics for our Instagram accounts.
So, we decided to get two of Singapore’s top models – the amazingly striking Nametha (who was just on Asia’s Next Top Model) and one of our favourite up-and-coming actresses Jasmine Sim (who is starring in a new Singapore movie very soon with Fann Wong!) – to hang out for a fab faux staycation day.

You need lots and lots of swimwear
Don’t just take one bikini or swimsuit on your staycation. Not only do you want to take a bunch of cool photos – and look different – it’s also great not to be sitting around in wet swimmers. We totally LOVE the pool at The Westin Singapore; it’s super minimalist in style with an amazing infinity edge that appears to go right off into the highrise buildings around the hotel. It’s also got these great recliners actually IN the water that come complete with bubble jets.

Yes, you CAN wear statement jewellery in the pool
We love the idea of adding some great pieces of custom jewellery – or the real deal if you have it – to your poolside look … whether you go all out with big, dangly earrings and matching long necklace or colour-coordinate with your swimsuit, accessories will make your #ootd pic, we promise.

Waterproof makeup? Of course!
There’s no real NEED to wear makeup in the pool, of course, but if you want to, why not? Slick back your hair for an elegant look
In Singapore’s hot weather a short hairstyle is a great option; you can wear it in a number of ways, slicked back is super elegant and really shows off your neck and collar bones as well as your statement earrings. What to wear to a poolside brunch
The easiest way to dress for a fab staycation with the girls is to combine your swimsuit with some handy coverups. Shorts are a great way to give you a bit of extra coverage while you’re brunching and hide your after-eating tummy too. If you’re looking for something that’s a bit more dressy, a loose caftan or linen dress works perfectly. Add some glamorous heels and lots of jewellery to increase the bling.

Staycation cocktails with the girls
Once you’ve finished with your poolside brunch, selfies and napping, throw on something that’s cool and fun for drinks at the bar. Stay with the whole resort concept and go for loose linen, pretty embroideries and some statement heels.
