As part of Marina Square’s commitment to promoting sustainability and creativity, the mall has partnered with Peace of Art, a local not-for-profit organisation supporting children in need, to present Singapore’s very first Sustainable Kids Market. The event will be held at the mall’s atrium on 25 and 26 May 2024, from 11am to 8pm.
The Sustainable Kids Market is a part of the KIDSforKIDS initiative, a first-of-its-kind effort uniting children across Singapore to empower their less fortunate peers through the transformative power of the arts. The initiative aims to give every child a chance, regardless of circumstance or background.
Participants can engage in various activities, including setting up a booth to sell their creations, leading a workshop about sustainability, exhibiting and auctioning their art, performing, or organising a public art collaboration.
100% of the proceeds from the Sustainable Kids Market will directly aid vulnerable children living in Singapore’s public rental flats, providing them with education, enrichment, and mentorship to break intergenerational poverty through Young Hearts by Singapore Red Cross.
Interested parties can find out more and register their interest to participate through the Sustainable Kids Market’s website by 22 April 2024 or until spaces are filled.
