[Savour Life] “Playing with Fire” – Hashida x Drew

A new dining platform, Savour Life, launches in Singapore with a monthly series of limited-edition chef collaborations that matchmake acclaimed chefs from different culinary disciplines who have never worked together before. Dubbed a “blind date” for chefs, each dining experience pairs contrasting culinary philosophies, inviting chefs to push creative boundaries and craft an exclusive menu born from their first meeting.

The inaugural edition on August 13 pairs regionally acclaimed Chef Kenjiro “Hatch” Hashida with Chef Drew Nocente, chef-founder of Il Toro and Cenzo, for their first-ever collaboration at Il Toro. The pairing brings together Chef Hatch’s meticulous Edomae craftsmanship rooted in the delicate handling of raw ingredients, with Chef Drew’s Italian cuisine infused with the bold, fire-driven spirit of Australian cooking. The exclusive multi-course dinner is priced at under S$200 per person, with reservations opening on July 30 via the Savour Life website.

Backed by Chef Hatch and industry veterans including Melissa Ho, Savour Life aims to foster meaningful culinary collaborations and cultural exchange while building a community of diners seeking distinctive, story-driven gastronomic experiences.
