Following the success of its debut in April, the RASA Sayang Sunday Market returns to RASA on June 8 with a full-day programme dedicated to celebrating community, creativity, and conscious living.
This edition, organised by the RASA team, features a special gelato takeover by local gelato maker Secondfloor Lab, who will be scooping up inventive flavours inspired by Southeast Asian ingredients – including buah long long, mango Thai basil, coriander roasted sugar peanut, and soursop lychee – alongside other unexpected flavour combinations that will be revealed on the day.
Staying true to its sustainability-first mission, the market continues to spotlight low-waste living. Local upcycling studio Alter will be leading a hands-on workshop on repurposing well-worn, old, used and unwanted clothing into art pieces.
At the market, RASA-curated vendors will present a thoughtful selection of locally handmade and ethically produced goods in small batches, including:
– Arts & Crafts: Ceramics, jagua ink tattoos, handmade healing soaps, art and photography prints, mental health and children’s books
– Slow Fashion: Handmade crystal jewellery, slow fashion and sustainably made apparel
– Food & Drinks: Japanese tea, kombucha, cookies, sourdough bread, party dips, and practical meal prep hacks
– Activities: Tarot and aura readings, upcycling workshop by Alter
With the return of this daytime market, those who’ve only experienced RASA after dark – as well as first-time visitors –will get to see the space in a whole new light. Sunlight pours through the floor-to-ceiling windows, revealing a softer, more laid-back side of RASA that contrasts its nighttime energy.
Just like the first edition, this family-friendly market welcomes guests of all ages to linger, explore, and unwind in good company.
