Gather your kakis and join Singapore Heritage Fest in a rousing finish. You can transport yourself back to those groovy days of the past by coming dressed in your most fabulous updo’s, best batik prints, saris, and slinky cheongsams. Enjoy comedic performances, traditional games – some stage highlights include a stand-up comedy show by local comedian Deepak, a chance to rock out to catchy 60s tunes on The Pinholes, or watch Bibik Bujang get ready for the Armenian Street Party while checking out colourful kebayas.
Feeling hungry? There’s plenty of tasty bites at the Pasar Malam where you can feast on kampong delights and sip on cocktail mixes inspired by childhood favourites, or try your hand at nostalgic games like giant-sized pick up sticks and hopscotch.
Cap off your night with a ride on a vintage Vespa sidecar, or make your way to the Peranakan Museum where amazing programmes await – make your own pinhole camera, learn all about European and Peranakan food, check out a multi-sensory walk-in kaleidoscope of colourful finds and more.
All programmes are completely free, including free admission to the Peranakan Museum, Substation, and Singapore Philatelic Museum. That said, food, drinks, and items from local designers are not free, so please bring along some cash.
Early bird special!
First 500 persons to RSVP on Peatix will redeem a set of old school Singapore icon enamel pins between 6 – 7pm over the two nights.
