From 12–14 Sep, Madame Fan and YEN Kuala Lumpur unite for a four-hands Cantonese dining series spanning dinner and brunch
Two respected culinary talents join forces for a special collaboration at modern Chinese restaurant, Madame Fan at The NCO Club. From 12 – 14 September, Executive Chinese Chef Pak Chee Yit of Madame Fan and Executive Chinese Chef Tan Kim Weng of YEN, W Kuala Lumpur, will present A Legacy Through Time — a dining series that bridges the rich heritage of Cantonese cuisine with a bold, contemporary vision.
Both Chef Pak and Chef Tan share a deep respect for tradition, coupled with a drive to reimagine it. Chef Pak is known for his innovative, East-meets-West approach, while Chef Tan is celebrated for his refined artistry at YEN. Together, they have created a menu at Madame Fan that honors the soul of classic recipes, giving them a fresh, modern expression.
The series kicks off with dinner on 12 – 13 September, where guests can choose a five- or seven-course menu featuring collaborative signatures. Dishes like the delicate Steamed Pure-Drip Coconut Chicken Essence with Yellow Fish Maw showcase the chefs’ expertise. Optional wine pairings are also available. The experience continues into the weekend with an elevated take on Madame Fan’s popular Dim Sum, Drink Sum brunch on 13 – 14 September, which will feature exclusive, never-before-seen dim sum and à la carte creations available only during this weekend.
From dishes like Steamed Pure-Drip Coconut Chicken Essence with Yellow Fish Maw to playful reimaginings of Cantonese classics such as Fruity Garlic Black Char Siew, the series offers a rare chance to savour the culinary artistry of two chefs who are both guardians and innovators of their craft.
A Legacy Through Time is more than a collaboration — it is a celebration of tradition carried forward, a dialogue between two masters, and an invitation to dine where heritage meets innovation.
