The ever-so-popular Christmas Wonderland returns with a dreamy medley of dazzling lights, picturesque snowfall moments and a new festive parade.
The end of the year is an enchanting time filled with joyous reunions, gift-giving merriment and everything from cocktails to candy canes. But what never fails to excite, especially on our tropical island, is the magic of Christmas Wonderland. Magnificent photo-worthy lights? Check. Snowfall in summer? Yup, got it. All the festive fun you could possibly have in one spot? Well, there’s a reason why everyone’s favourite Yuletide event gives us a December to remember.
Everything new and cool

Spread out over 57,000 sqm at Gardens by the Bay, Christmas Wonderland is the stuff dreams are made of. Whether you’re giving the kids a dash of holiday charm or swinging by with friends to get that picture-perfect photo, there’s plenty to get starry-eyed about.
Always keeping things original, the festival introduces 10 attractions this year, including a resplendent and refreshed showcase of grand luminarie light sculptures made from over 360,000 bulbs. (Look out for the dazzling 21m-tall Spalliera inspired by Italy’s San Gimignano and Asia’s tallest luminarie Christmas tree!) Little ones – and the young at heart – can journey to the North Pole to find Santa and his elves at his workshop for photo ops, or admire the 50m-long Walk of Peace light installation that mimics the vibrancy of sunset at the Gardens.
For more festive vibes, cheer on the Christmas Parade and wave to Santa as he rolls down the stretch on his reindeer sleigh with dancing elves and adorable penguins. The entertainment continues at the brand new Meadow Theatre, which puts on hit productions like Trash Test Dummies (11 Dec – 26 Dec) and Vitaly – Pure Wonder (20 Dec – 26 Dec) and more! (Note: Show tickets sold separately from Christmas Wonderland admission.)
If you’re feeling peckish, the Christmas Tree Cafe serves bites by the likes of Burger & Lobster, Sinfonia Ristorante and Tonito Latin American Kitchen. Oh, and let’s not forget the first-ever Dessert Wonderland, a sweet collab that churns out treats such as bandung lamington and malt-coated roasted sweet potato.
A jolly good time

Of course, it’s not Christmas without a pristine layer of snow blanketing the ground, and you can merrily embrace the experience without the frost during Blizzard Time. Get your cameras ready to snap all the looks of wonder as the crowd frolics around with sparkling lights in the backdrop.
More revelry awaits at the carnival area, where you’ll find good ‘ol games and rides such as bumper cars and the swing chair carousel. You can’t miss out on the Festive Market either, with its array of handmade trinkets, cool crafts and holiday food and drinks like turkey drumsticks or hot chocolate and buttermilk waffles. Want a twinkle of romance in your life? Head to Mistletoe Alley for even more pretty Yuletide lights.

End off the evening with sing-alongs at the Christmas edition of light and sound show Garden Rhapsody or get the warm fuzzies listening to carollers belt out classic tunes. Already in a holidaze? Find a seat to snuggle up in and enjoy the grooves of local performers like Inch Chua, Sam Driscoll and more. On Christmas Eve, the merrymaking continues right up till midnight with more entertainment and countdown festivities.
