Meet Christine Mount, your go-to property pro and luxe life matchmaker, specialising in exquisite properties in the Sunshine Coast and beyond.
We love entrepreneurs and small business owners at Honeycombers, which is why we’ve created Launchpad, a comprehensive digital networking platform (with IRL benefits, too) that encourages connection, business support and community. It’s a privilege and pleasure to learn from so many talented and inspiring folks, so we’ve decided to share the love by interviewing some of the lovely Launchpad members. Looking for inspiration? Check out how Christine Mount, the founder of Luxe Coastal Property Buyers, gets it done like a boss.

What is your backstory and why did you decide to launch your business?
With 30 years of industry expertise in residential, commercial and investment sales and backed by a Business Degree in Property (Valuations) I began my career selling real estate in Melbourne before moving to Singapore to manage strategic property investments. By the time I returned to Australia, I had executed over $1.7B in transactions.
Now embracing my ‘luxe life’ on the Sunshine Coast and inspired by my property background, I am passionate about guiding expats, interstate, and locals on how to make a lifestyle move. I believe a property purchase goes far beyond a floorplan and a location, it’s a heart-centred feeling of authentically embracing a new community and a new way of living. Achieving this aim requires refined communication skills, with honest and open discussions throughout the process. This is especially important for expats and interstate buyers, who place full confidence in me and my team to guide them through every step of the process, from research and strategy to negotiation and settlement.
Everyone has their own reasons for pursuing a luxe life. I understand the trials and tribulations of repatriation and finding a sense of community when returning home after living overseas.
What has been your biggest challenge so far and how did you overcome it?
Learning that health is wealth. Without health, there’s no wealth! I’m a high-energy person who has learned to slow down, create space, and simply remember to breathe. My self-care routine is divided into two distinct categories: integration into daily life and structured time out.
Daily integrations need to be simple and consistent. For me, it’s “belly breathing” peppered throughout the day and walking in nature. It’s a simple daily routine – pick three times a day and breathe deeply five times. The benefits are endless – it regulates your autonomic nervous system, taking you from ‘flight or fight’ to encourage the body to relax. I always gravitate to walks in nature, whether it’s a coastal walk or having a massage in nature. My go-to is the luxury of the outdoors at So Spa in Sentosa.
How do you stay motivated and energised?
If you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. My business energises me – I can’t imagine life, without the wonderful clients I get to work with and I absolutely love what I do. I am also blessed that I can bring my values to the business. In my small business, I consider how I can partner with like-minded professionals (particularly women in business) and buy local, with consideration to the environment. Some example include True North Collective for our signature candles and Noosa Gift and Co for client gifts, who source locally and sustainably. I love to champion women both professionally and through supporting charities we partner with.
Our podcast series and events reflect this commitment. Recently, we hosted a lunch for 100 people that benefited vulnerable women on the Sunshine Coast and the women in Sri Lanka via the Plates of Goodness Cook-Book. This was a beautiful collaboration.
How do you keep stress levels low?
I create space to breathe deeply. For me, belly breathing throughout the day is important and spending as much time in nature as possible. Walking is my meditation, I am so incredibly lucky to live in such a beautiful and inspiring place as Noosa.
Favourite place to work?
I absolutely love working along Noosa River! It’s my inspiration, my luxe and my community. Our office is also located within a two-minute walk to the river – now that’s Luxe!

Favourite business tool or can you share a work ‘mantra’ that you use?
My favourite business tool that I cannot not live without is Trello, I use it for both my clients and my team. We have created a Property Investment Board, which takes our clients on their journey, tailored to their unique requirements.
My work mantra is that people remember how you make them feel, not what you do. That is why we focus on going beyond the transaction with our clients to not only find them their dream property but their ‘luxe lifestyle’, while connecting them to the community.
One thing you can keep talking about for hours?
My cavoodle Scout and understanding what inspires people to live their ‘luxe life’. Which is why I started my podcast – Living Your Luxe Life, and talking to people who have found their luxe life on the Sunshine Coast.
Your go-to self-care activity?
Waking up early and going for a long walk through the Noosa National Park, watching the dolphins and whales, followed by a swim in the ocean and coffee with friends on the beach before starting my work day doing what I love.
One piece of advice to your younger self?
Be confident and don’t limit yourself. Know your values and take advantage of what opportunities present themselves, that are aligned to your joy. Have the confidence to follow your dreams, and stay in flow.
