If the Chinese proverb, 风和日丽, looks awfully familiar to you, then you must be a devoted patron of one of City Hall’s best rooftop bars, Loof. Always a beautiful day (that’s what the proverb means) whenever we scurry to the top of Odeon Towers for a tipple, Loof is one of our go-to habitats for a bevvie-chuggin’ respite, and where we’d often chill while soaking in some cruising disco choons. Frankly, we thought we couldn’t find any more reasons why this Lo & Behold establishment (OverEasy, Tanjong Beach Club, Odette) deserves a spot on our heart-list; we thought wrong.
Still full of surprises after a decade of kickass parties, Loof has unveiled a brand new happy hour promo that will undoubtedly reel in the thirsty masses. It’s introducing a Beat The Clock concept: the earlier you arrive, the cheaper your drink! House spirits and wines go for $5++ from 5pm-5.59pm, $6++ from 6pm-6.59pm, and $7++ from 7pm-7.59pm. Craving a beer instead? Beers on tap go for $10++ all the way ’til 8pm.
What’s really special in our books, however, is Loof’s Krispy Klean Cucumber Martini ($10++) – made up of gin, lychee, lime juice and cucumber, this cocktail is available throughout this month every Monday to Friday, 5pm-8pm. Coupled with custom concoctions you can only find at Loof for Singapore Cocktail Week, this palate cleanser will definitely take the edge off your work woes. We’re giving you permission: you now have a valid excuse to leave the office early!
