Established in 2013, Ain Soph.Journey in the Shinjuku District is one of the most popular vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Tokyo. Not only does its chic atmosphere make it a perfect environment for lunch, Ain Soph.Journey’s menu consists of delicious green curry, mushroom hayashi rice, the signature tiramisu and vegan pancakes (so fluffy!) with ice-cream on top – I went back a couple of times, and suggest you do the same.

Ahhh, the ever elusive dish that all veggies and vegans dream of – vegan ramen! Located inside JR Tokyo Station, T’s Tantan serves a wide range of tan tan noodles and ramens, including golden sesame and black sesame tan tan noodles, veggie tonkotsu ramen, shouya (soy sauce) ramen and more. The ramen broth is thick and scrumptious, yet completely MSG- and meat-free. It’s hands-down the best vegan ramen you can find in Tokyo.

Future Food Cafe Restaurant Tubu Tubu
One of the most innovative vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Tokyo is Future Food Cafe Restaurant Tubu Tubu. Their menu consists of pasta, Japanese curry with fried vegan pork, as well as the sinful vegan BBQ hamburger. They also have a fascinating dessert menu, in which you can find waffles, dairy-free parfaits and crepe cakes. And the service at Tubu Tubu (but this is Japan so that’s pretty much always the case) is excellent!
