From the concrete jungle to the nature reserves that can be found across the city, trees are a constant reminder of growth and change in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is known as a concrete jungle full of great restaurants, buddhist temples and busy markets. But amid all this action, you can actually stop and see a range of trees and wildlife growing throughout the city. Our photographer Anson Yip has explored the city to find some unique plants adding life to the busy streets.
Discover the hidden trees of the city
When you see the beautiful Hong Kong skyline full of towers, skyscrapers and glowing bright lights, it’s hard to imagine that the city is anything other than a global business centre. However, down the tiny alleyways and between the buildings, many gorgeous trees still grow high beside the concrete, and that’s not to mention all of the gorgeous plant life that exists in the nature reserves across the city. Our photographer Anson Yip, a keen lover of all things nature, has been exploring the city to find an array of stunning trees throughout Hong Kong.
