No matter what the season, Hong Kong’s ever-changing weather can wreak havoc on your skin, so we headed to Flawless Spa in Central to get a skin health boost.
We at Honeycombers Hong Kong love discovering the most recent well-being trends, including infusions at REVIV Hong Kong, sensory deprivation pods at Float On Hong Kong and facial acupuncture at Eu Yan Sang . Hong Kong’s weather and fluctuating air quality can be incredibly harsh on your skin, and a facial is a great way to brighten your complexion. We recently headed over to Flawless Spa, a chic and edgy Hong Kong spa in Central for some facial treatments, a moisturising and skin plumping Hydr8 facial by Medik8. Check out what we thought below.
Flawless Spa in Central
Walk into the Central spa to find a light yet edgy, simple, modern black and white themed establishment. Flawless Spa is an award-winning spa that offers a range of treatments such as facials, massages, manicures and pedicures for both men and women.
Give your skin a boost with a selection of facial treatments
When you enter the spa, you will immediately be greeted by warm and friendly staff who offer hot fruit tea as you sit and wait for your appointment. I was asked to fill out a form indicating any previous skin conditions I had or skin treatments I had been using, to make sure that none of the treatments I was about to receive could potentially cause a bad reaction to my skin.
Through the bright red door are multiple private rooms available for facials and full-body treatments. The room was clean and warm, and as I laid undressed under the fresh white towels on the massage table I was pleasantly surprised by the heating mats directly under my body. Tucked in, warm and snug, in the dull lit room, I was ready for my dry skin to be moisturised, refreshed and brightened.
The esthetician began the facial treatments with some aromatherapy. She rubbed essential oils onto her hand and placed it above my head, and as I breathed into the relaxing floral aromas I was immediately put me at ease. She cleansed by face gently and delicately with her fingertips removing and extracting any dirt or impurities I had obtained from the harsh weather with the assistance of a facial steamer.
Feeling clean and fresh, she then applied a deep-moisturising mask. As I waited for my skin to soak up the nutrients, she massaged my neck, collarbone and shoulders with essential oils, as well as my scalp. It was incredibly relaxing and I could feel all accumulated stress and tension physically leave my body.
The hour long treatment finished with moisturisers, creams and serums applied to my skin, and a balm to my lips, essentially coating me in a light layer of protective moisture.
How did it feel afterwards?
The esthetician explained that my cheeks and chin were lacking moisture and that previous acne scars that I had would benefit with vitamin A, C, E intensive serums. Overall my skin felt clean, supple, fresh, and appeared significantly whiter and brighter even without any traces of makeup on. I would most definitely go back for a facial, especially since seeing the immediate and noticeable results.
For those looking to revive dull or dry skin or those just looking to be pampered Flawless Spa absolutely has you covered.
