Points to note before and after getting Botox in Hong Kong
It’s important to discuss your needs beforehand with the practitioner at the clinic. If you’re switching to a new clinic, let them know of your previous Botox brand and dosage to keep it consistent.
Even though you may be told you’re good to go after your treatment, it’s best to avoid certain activities to ensure the full effectiveness of the Botox:
– Wait at least four hours before working out at the gym
– Avoid consuming alcohol for 24 hours after treatment as Botox can dehydrate your skin
– Avoid facials for about two weeks after Botox as the facial treatment could interfere with the Botox injection
The pros and cons of Botox
Aside from preventing and smoothing out wrinkles, Botox is often used as treatment for excessive sweating, migraines, and leaky bladders. Botox treatments can be quick, effective, and painless. However, since it’s not permanent and the effect only lasts a couple of months, you may be tempted to get additional treatments and the repetition of injections could damage your facial muscles. Not to mention that the cost can add up.
But we’ll let you be the judge of whether the pros outweigh the cons. Either way, you do you boo!
