No Milkshake No Life is our to-go restaurant for comfort food in Shek Tong Tsui. Other than their signature grilled cheese sandwiches and milkshakes, their American-style Buttermilk pancakes never fail to impress us. The freshly-made pancakes are served with a gigantic piece of butter that melts in the hot syrup, creating a rich sensation on your palate. For basic toppings like honeycomb, syrup and whipped cream, go for the Classic Buttermilk Pancake ($68). Their Popcorn Bacon Pancakes with Caramelised Banana ($80) are another great option for those looking for a savoury twist.

A Japanese-style cafe, Pan de Pain is famous for its fluffy souffle pancakes. Their pancake flavours include Original, Caramel Apple, Chocolate Dorayaki, Tiramisu and Uji Matcha, just to name a few. Other than pancakes, Pan de Pain also has sandwiches, french toast, savoury pancakes and beverages. End your meal with a cup of fragrant hojicha latte or matcha latte to neutralise the sweetness.

The Blueberry Stacks loaded with fresh blueberries and jams is another hot item on their brunch menu. Top your pancakes with Elephant Grounds’ luxurious homemade ice-cream and you are done for the day.

If you visit Hysan Place quite often, you’ve probably noticed the huge line outside Flipper’s. This pancake shop is famous for their jiggly souffle pancakes with flavours ranging from Avocado Salmon to Hazelnut Chocolate with Banana, and Green Tea with Red Beans to Bacon & Egg. We love how their smoothies are loaded with whipped cream, and their seasonal menus are often refreshing.

Craving a flavourful mochi pancake? Head to the popular breakfast eatery 3rd Space in Sheung Wan. Their pancakes come in various creative flavours like Earl Grey, Peanut Butter Condensed Milk and Black Sesame. Each of them is topped with generous servings of fresh fruits, Hokkaido milk ice-cream and whipped cream. Let’s agree that buttermilk pancakes are breakfast staples in North America. The cosy American-style brekkie place The Flying Pan serves aromatic pancakes that will fuel your entire day. Flavours include: Oreo Cookies with Chocolate Sauce, Banana Caramel, Bacon & Chopped Pecan as well as Blueberry.
