World Class Hong Kong & Macau Bartender of the Year 2024, bar manager Stefano Bussi launches an enchanting new cocktail menu at The Aubrey, poetically titled “The Art of Shibumi.” Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of effortless beauty and profound depth, the menu is artfully divided into four captivating categories: Elegant, Refined, Imperfect, and Balanced. As I delve into Bussi’s inventive approach, I’m blown away by his utilisation of sustainable techniques and unexpected ingredients to craft a thoughtful and distinctive drinking experience.

2. Spritz ‘N’ Beats: Hong Kong’s Summer Party Series!

What excites me is the storytelling aspect, spinning tales of cultural icons like Brigitte Bardot and Graham Hill into ten signature cocktails through blending contemporary mixology with nostalgic elements. Think horoscope pages, retro crosswords, and juicy gossip! Available in Hong Kong from September 2025, come with me on an immersive journey into Mediterranean leisure and sophistication.

4. The Opposites Hong Kong Unveils Six Bold Twists on Cocktail Icons

The latest menu features well-loved icons like the Paloma, Espresso Martini, and Sidecar, but presented in two unique interpretations. 5. Vesu Pizza Bar launches “SIP happens”

After being crowned #44 in the 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific 2025, Vesu Pizza Bar unveils its cheeky “SIP happens” cocktail menu, blending Neapolitan tradition with vibrant Hong Kong street flavours. Perched above the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui, this sky-high venue offers breathtaking harbour views and a lively atmosphere, where you can savour a spiked Yuen Yeung or a zero-proof Bo Lo Bao while indulging in handmade pizzas and small sharing plates.

6. ARTIFACT

ARTIFACT Bar launches the sixth iteration of its cocktail menu, featuring an exquisite exploration of Maker’s Mark Handmade Kentucky Bourbon. The new lineup showcases four creative takes on classic drinks. Standouts include the Shogun, a nostalgic highball marrying Japanese whisky with honeydew melon and matcha, and the daring Illmatic, a smoky creation inspired by rapper Nas. Paying homage to 1960s Spaghetti Westerns, the new programme promises an imaginative experience. Rest assured, beloved signature items, like my personal favourite, Bread & Butter, are still mainstays.

7. Avoca

Avoca is shaking things up with a new selection of Hong Kong-inspired cocktails and international dishes. Each drink, like the comforting Ginger Pudding and floral Mums Tea, captures the essence of local culinary culture, blending nostalgia with fun, imaginative twists. The Yum Cha Fizz and V.L.T. Sour elevates traditional favourites into exciting new experiences. Alongside the new cocktails, the updated à la carte menu features bold dishes like Northern Thai Spiced Roasted Yellow Chicken and Spiced Gambas Al Ajilo, ensuring each sip is paired with an equally delicious bite.
