Where to watch F1 in Singapore is always the biggest question in our minds whenever the F1 Singapore Grand Prix speeds into town. Not everyone is lucky enough to score tickets to this high-octane event, but that’s where we come in! If you’re an F1 fan who doesn’t want to brave the Singapore heat, or if you’re on the lookout for alternative locations for a race watch party, we’ve got a list of free vantage points, restaurants, and hotels for fantastic views.
Where to watch F1 in Singapore: Free vantage points
1. Suntec City

If you visit it frequently for events, you’ll know the convention centre at Suntec City boasts some gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows. Based on the orientation of the windows, we believe it’s possible to get a decent view of the stretch between Turns 6 and 7.
Opening hours: Daily, 7am to 11pm
Address: Suntec City, 1 Raffles Boulevard, Singapore 039593
2. Millenia Walk Link Bridge
This bridge hovers right over Turn 6, so it’s obviously a top choice if you need a good vantage point for the race. The area’s quite spacious and can accommodate a few groups of people, but please be mindful not to crowd the bridge for those who need to use it. Some parts are unsheltered, so we’d recommend being prepared for wet weather when you’re there.
Opening hours: Daily, 11am to 9.30pm
Address: Millenia Walk Link Bridge, between Millenia Walk and Marina Square
3. National Gallery Singapore

Overlooking the stretch between Turn 9 and Turn 10, National Gallery Singapore is a hotspot whenever the Formula 1 season rolls around. Head up to level six, where the Padang Deck and Coleman Deck are. They’re popular picks for all museum-goers, even on a regular weekend, so we have no doubt it’ll be bustling come race weekend.
Opening hours: Daily, 10am to 7pm
Address: National Gallery Singapore, 1 St Andrew’s Road, Singapore 178957
4. Helix Bridge

The Helix Bridge is a short distance away from the track, but you can still catch glimpses of the race action at Turn 15. Bring binoculars along to help you see better! It’s also the entrance to Gate 8, so you might find this area overwhelming with people.

5. Marina Square

Located right smack in the middle of multiple turns, Marina Square is the place to be when it comes to free F1 viewing spots. It’s an open secret, so prepare for throngs of people. The food court is a popular spot with seats and affordable food, but come early if you want the seats closest to the window.
Alternatively, you can head to the rooftop garden where you can get decent views and hear the sounds of the cars. People tend to camp here from the afternoon until the race starts, so we recommend gathering a group of friends and planning your day if you want to get the best seats.
Opening hours: Daily, 10am to 10pm
Address: Marina Square, 6 Raffles Boulevard, Singapore 039594
Bonus: Mewatch

The team is dedicated to providing a platform for all fans to watch the race and gather to share in the exhilarating action. Hosted in various locations, you can RSVP for free via the link in its Instagram bio for upcoming races. While details on a Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix watch party haven’t been confirmed, we expect that there might be one with a small entry fee to cover the F1 weekend surcharge.
