From festive buffets to yummy takeaways, strap in for a delicious Christmas feast at Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay.
The Christmas bells are ringing, and we have an all-important question for you: are you ready to feast?! We’ve been scouting the best food options for the festive season — and we’ve got our eye on Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay. Here’s what’s in store…
1. Enjoy delicious buffet treats
Who says you have to wait till Christmas to dig in? For the whole of December, Paradox Singapore is rolling out a special festive menu we’re excited for. Held at Ellenborough Market Cafe, the buffet wows with a boutique salad bar, seafood on ice (our favourite!), assorted Japanese maki, rojak, Peranakan goodies (think ayam buah keluak or babi pongteh), and either a nyonya sambal turkey breast or honey-glazed gammon ham.
Visit from Friday to Sunday and indulge in foie gras and roasted duck wrap, as well as pan-seared foie gras. The desserts sound amazing too. Sweet tooths will love the rose lychee log cake, durian pengat, gingerbread panna cotta, and the oh-so-loved chocolate fountain. Talk about taking it to the next level!
2. Stunning takeaways for home parties
If you prefer to dine in the comfort of your own home, we’ve got just the thing. Paradox Singapore’s ‘Noel-Filled Christmas’ bundle ($398; for eight to 10 people) pulls out all the stops. It comprises a roasted tom turkey or honey-glazed gammon ham, garlic butter marble potatoes, a signature acai banana chocolate log cake, and more. Its ‘Local Touch of Christmas’ bundle ($398; for eight to 10 people) adds a local twist to the usual Christmas fare with items like a roasted dry rub nyonya sambal turkey or lemongrass-hoisin glazed gammon ham, sambal onion eggs, and more.
If you prefer to do it a la carte style, be spoilt for choice with goodies such as Australian black angus tenderloin ($220), foie gras and duck confit terrine ($98), calamansi black tea yule log ($48), gingerbread stack ($78), or a Christmas chocolate tree ($98). For the cherry on top of the cake, whip out some mulled wine (from $42) to set the mood.
Perk alert: enjoy 20% off takeaways from 5 December 2022 onwards.
3. Indulge in special buffet highlights
On 24, 25, and 31 December 2022, as well as 1 January 2023, go all out with Rudolph’s special festive buffet. Loosen your waist belts and load up on sashimi, truffle cream pasta… the works. Self-professed carnivores will love the BBQ night, which includes grilled Thai pork, grilled tiger prawns and more. We recommend visiting during dinner, where the Maine lobsters and Hyogo oysters come out to play. Yum!
Can’t get enough? Check out the Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy afternoon tea, and snack on Atlantic lobster sandwiches, prawn thermidor tartlet, gingerbread gateau, and festive stollen.
Alternatively, enjoy tapas like gratinated oysters, smoked salmon and leek quiche, as well as pancetta porcini mushroom casserole. Round it off with a celebratory drink — say bottoms up with the pine and snow mocktail or crimson baubles cocktail.
Perk alert: Pair any tapas with a festive mocktail or cocktail at a special bundle price of $30 and $35 respectively. Complete the afternoon tea with a glass of home-brewed mulled wine for $118 for two!
