Are you scrambling for ideas on how to entertain the kids during the March holidays? Here’s an idea: plan a staycation that’s great fun for everyone. Our ideal family staycay checklist includes family-friendly facilities and activities, play areas and, as an added bonus, themed suites to jazz up the whole experience. Lucky for us, Pan Pacific Singapore’s latest Urban Jungle Adventure package checks all the boxes!
This isn’t any ordinary staycation, mind you. The staycation revolves around the story of eight intrepid jungle creatures who got lost after setting off to see the urban jungle of Marina Bay. Who better than your little ones to find and bring them home? Here’s what lies in store…
Play at Urban Jungle Village
Open from 10am to 6pm daily, the Urban Jungle Village is a newly launched play area for the kiddos. Parent supervision is required at all times, so join your little ones for an exciting bonding sesh! Clamber up and down the animal-themed slides of the Jungle Village or try virtual fishing at Fishing on The Tree. Navigate a car through a village at the Safari Trail, or climb in and around a cave at the Cave Climber.
Playing is hard work, so enjoy some respite at the Forest Library, which is home to snug reading nooks, books and board games. Kids can even bring their choice of entertainment to the Explorer Den’s private teepees. Can’t get enough? Go all out at the Interactive Games Station.
Fuel up on picnic or campfire sets
That’s not all: it gets better with delicious takeaway picnic sets. Containing a kid’s dream of a burger, fries, Oreo cheesecake and milkshake, and a new Kidztopia snuggle buddy, these lunch sets are perfect for a post-swim snack.
In the evening, get cosy with a campfire set, containing a hotdog bun, corn on the cob, marshmallows, macaroni and cheese, and fruit chocolate fondue for a fiery good time. It comes complete with another cute plush toy pal and an exciting family board game challenge.
The picnic and campfire sets cost $59 each, with the former available from 11am to 6pm, and the latter from 6pm to 9pm.
Stay at Urban Jungle Suites
Fastest fingers first: score one of Pan Pacific Singapore’s limited Urban Jungle Suites, which comes with a main parents’ bedroom and a kids’ jungle-themed room. The latter is the highlight, decked out with a treehouse bunk bed, a teepee, and even an inflatable rocking hippo for extra fun. An Urban Jungle Survival Pack and bath toys are thrown in too!
Before each day’s adventure, fill up with breakfast at Edge. If you feel peckish during the day, the room also includes access to the private Pacific Club Lounge, where you can indulge in afternoon tea and all-day refreshments. Even better, enjoy private access to the Urban Jungle cabana at the pool, as well as complimentary three-hour access to Kidztopia.
The Urban Jungle Adventure package is available from $820 per night for a family of two adults and two children — that works out to just over $200 per person.
