Woven Memory of Culture brings together Tsuyumi Miwa’s Japan and Singapore Cultural Series, tracing the hands, materials and human stories behind traditional craft.
Through portraits of artisans and cultural practices from Japan and Singapore, the exhibition explores not only what we inherit, but the patience, memory and devotion carried quietly from one generation to the next.
Presented at the Japan Creative Centre, Embassy of Japan in Singapore, the exhibition forms part of SJ60, commemorating 60 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore.
