This Mid-Autumn Festival, swap the usual night out for one that takes you from gardens to galaxies at Celestial Nights: Mid-Autumn Edition. Presented in conjunction with NParks’ Lights by the Lake, this after-dark celebration brings astronomy, science and Mid-Autumn traditions together as part of the Sundown Science initiative.
Key highlights:
- Celestial Trail: A free, illuminated night trek bridging Japanese Garden and Science Centre. Low lights, cosmic displays, pure atmosphere. Available from 19 to 27 September.
- Moonbeats: Silent Disco (26 September only): Live DJs, zero noise limits inside our dark galleries at the Science Centre. Put on the wireless headphones and dance right next to interactive exhibits.
- Stargazing: Step inside The Observatory and Water Lily Pavilion for deep-sky object mini-exhibitions and moon viewing.
- Live Planetarium Moon Legends: From Myth to Mission: Enter the Omni-Theatre dome for an unfiltered look at the evolution of lunar exploration, from ancient folklore to modern space missions. Tickets are $4.
