Pirate Readers Vol. 2 is a hands-on workshop that invites participants to resist the ways algorithms visually shape the artistic knowledge we consume. Rather than passively absorbing content, participants actively navigate selections from the Objectifs library, pirating pages, text, and images they are drawn to. Through this process, each participant assembles their own pirate reader, reflecting their current interests while tracing new directions their curiosity might grow.
All materials will be provided.
What to expect:
– Vanessa Ban will be sharing more about her practice
– Participants will engage in critical engagement with how algorithms shape what we see and learn, along with holding space for reflection on personal interests and emerging curiosities
– Bring home your own Pirate Readers zine!
