Join the award-winning chefs behind the Lion Dance Cafe cookbook & acclaimed food scholar Jenny Dorsey for an insightful chat about food, culture, the meaning of authenticity and more, followed by an audience Q&A.
After making waves in California and beyond with a James Beard nomination, a Michelin recognition, and a menu marrying the Singaporean, Chinese, and Italian flavours of their backgrounds into uncompromisingly flavor-packed food that just happens to be meatless, chefs C-Y Chia and Shane Stanbridge have finally relocated to C-Y’s native Singapore.
They’re marking the homecoming with the Singaporean launch of their first cookbook – Authentic, Not Traditional – at Druggists. Limited signed copies of the cookbook will be available for purchase onsite, and book talk attendees will be granted a preferential price. The first print run sold out almost immediately, making this one of the few chances to secure a copy before the second printing arrives.
Tickets include a welcome bite created by the chefs and a complimentary drink. Stay after the talk to dine with us, as a Lion Dance Cafe kitchen takeover will take place for the rest of the evening!
