The upcoming dance camp during the year-end school holidays kicks off the Light Years Choreographers project. Young dancers aged 7-17 are invited to bring the moves they already have and make new ones together!
We welcome participants with different personalities, backgrounds, disabilities and abilities, dance training and experiences. Join in to be part of a community of young people who love to make artistic and creative decisions, expressing yourself through dance, movement and choreography.
At the end of the three-day dance camp, we will hold a casual and by-invite-only showcase of the dance works you have made, for family and friends.
The Light Years Holiday Dance Camp includes:
Body awareness and conditioning
Solo and group improvisation
Dance composition techniques
Social and friendship time
Rolypoly Family’s Healthy Dancer lessons
Daily lunch and light refreshments
The programme is suitable for:

Prior experience in any dance genre

Interest and ability to participate in a group setting
Able to communicate in English (fluency not necessary)
Able to communicate ideas through speaking, writing, typing, voice memos, etc.
About the Light Years Choreographers project
Designed for children aged 7-17 with prior experience in any dance genre, Light Years Choreographers offers dancers an opportunity to realise and hone their choreographic ideas through workshops and mentorship.
Participants in the dance camp may continue with the project to create a dance piece and perform it during a showcase in May 2026.
