As part of our ongoing Hands On! workshop series, Journey East partners with Singaporean artisanal scent studio A Thing of Sense for an afternoon dedicated to sensory discovery, spatial atmosphere, and deliberate craftsmanship.
Set against the backdrop of heritage design, original vintage pieces, and solid teak furniture, this event explores the relationship between interior environments and how we experience ambient fragrance.

All-Day Scent Bar (12:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Free Entry, Open to Public)
Explore an open scent bar hosted inside the Journey East showroom throughout the day. Visitors are invited to discover A Thing of Sense’s signature home fragrance range at their own pace and see how scent complements physical materials, light, and living space atmosphere.
Guided Scent Experience (Ticketed Sessions | 2:00 PM & 4:00 PM)
Led by Cherine Wee, founder of A Thing of Sense, this intimate 45-minute workshop is designed for slow, intentional discovery. Through guided smelling exercises and an introduction to scent profiles, participants will learn how fragrance unfolds across different natural textures and materials.
Exclusive Workshop Keepsake:
To complete the experience, each participant will blend their own bespoke room scent from A Thing of Sense’s signature ‘Flameless’ range. Every registration includes an exclusive dBodhi reclaimed teak wood diffuser tile—a limited-edition keepsake crafted from aged, eco-friendly reclaimed timber, available strictly through this workshop.
