Sarawak is bringing its soul to the heart of Singapore at the Sarawak Mega Fair 2025, taking place at the Suntec City Atrium Convention Centre and Tower 1 & 2 from October 16 to 19. More than 50 exhibitors will display the best of Sarawak – each booth a portal into the region’s rich tapestry of traditions. Visitors can expect exclusive travel deals, live performances and firsthand craft demonstrations, all designed to spark curiosity and deepen appreciation for Sarawak’s cultural landscape.
Craving authentic kolo mee straight from Sibu? Heng Yoon Trading delivers the real deal – made made without ‘kee’ (vinegar), giving the noodles a delicate texture and a clean, fragrant flavour. Pair it with their signature sauces, available for purchase at the fair. Then there’s Qsnack’s Tempe, a fermented soybean chip making its debut in Singapore. The Kuching-based company introduces a market first: garlic and Sarawak black pepper–flavoured tempe chips. And do not miss Endo, a brand that celebrates Borneo’s heritage through Tuak, an indigenous rice wine traditionally brewed by the Iban and other Dayak communities. There will be tasting samples, not to mention that items will be on sale.
Craft lovers will be drawn to Tanoti, a social enterprise born in Kuching that supports over 600 artisans across Sarawak. For the first time in Singapore, it will highlight weaving demonstrations to offer glimpses into the artistry behind each piece. Also, a fresh debut at the fair will be Batik Linut Textiles, which offers a fresh take on batik that uses sago flour – a biodegradable, eco-friendly alternative to traditional wax. Look out for Ran & Nong Creations which will display its range of handcrafted beaded fashion accessories to be displayed for sale, especially its Miyuki Delica bead necklaces.
Whether you’re a curious traveller, a food enthusiast, or a lover of craft and culture, this is your chance to experience Sarawak – without leaving Singapore. Mark your calendars. Come for the food, stay for the stories.
