On 5 September 2026 (Saturday), Burnt Ends Bar will welcome Gokan, currently ranked #22 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026, for a one-night-only takeover.
The guest shift will be led by Luna Fukuhara, Head Bartender of Gokan.
Prior to joining Gokan, Luna served as Senior Bartender at The SG Club in Tokyo, ranked as high as No. 23 on The World’s 50 Best Bars, and Sip & Guzzle in New York, named North America’s Best Bar in 2026, giving her experience across two of the world’s most acclaimed cocktail destinations.
Taking its name from the Japanese word for the “five senses,” Gokan approaches cocktails through five flavour profiles: sweet, sour, spicy, bitter and savoury. Its culinary-minded philosophy makes it a natural match for Burnt Ends Bar, where ingredients and techniques more commonly found in the kitchen shape the cocktail programme.
As Burnt Ends Bar celebrates four years of culinary-driven cocktails, the takeover brings together two bars united by a shared belief that technique, ingredients and hospitality are as integral to the experience as the spirits in the glass.
For one night only, guests can experience a special menu showcasing Luna’s approach to flavour and her interpretation of Gokan’s five-senses philosophy at Burnt Ends Bar.
