Design Orchard Retail Showcase is now known as DORS, home to the coolest local fashion, wellness, beauty, and lifestyle brands.

Singapore’s multi-label retail concept Design Orchard Retail Showcase is reborn as DORS – new face, same mission. As shopaholics, we haven’t seen anything like it. Located along the buzzing Orchard Road retail stretch, the building is home to the city’s local labels and innovative talents. Every brand is proudly Singapore-born, from fashion and beauty to homeware and lifestyle. Here are the top brands we’ve spotted (and almost bought on impulse).

We can’t get over The Everyday Club’s sleek and adorable puffy bags, which we’ve browsed in all their glory at DORS. You can find the bags in every shape, size, and colour on display. It’s the perfect chance to see if it matches your cafe-hopping outfit!

We also love the brand’s fun graphic t-shirts and pins that can jazz up your new puffy bag. The pop-up space may be small, but its striking blue hue and quirky graphics will catch your eye immediately.

The Everyday Club

2. Talking Toes

Talking Toes is best known for its range of truly Singaporean socks. Its designs feature quirky animals, cups of coffee, clouds, and ones dotted with the beloved Singapore snack, iced gems. Now, the brand has expanded its collection to include t-shirts with designs that speak to us. The Certified Crybaby oversized tee lives rent-free in our minds.

There’s something about a good leather bag that makes us feel all grown up. Even better when it’s created in Singapore! Founded by Singaporean designer Ling Wu, Wuhaus brings together sculptural leather bags and vintage objects to create stunning arm candy.

As each bag is created for functionality, the designs are stunningly timeless and stray away from trendy silhouettes. We see ourselves walking around a fancy gala dinner with the Bubble 8 Clutch – it’s going into our cart as soon as our pay cheque comes in.

4. Rocket Eyewear

Did you know not every pair of sunglasses fits the same face? There’s a reason why your Ray-Bans don’t look as good on you as they do on Chris Hemsworth. That’s why we love this Singapore-born brand, which dedicates its line of sunglasses to Asian features. Rocket Eyewear was created by a sibling duo whose mother has a penchant for losing her sunglasses – it’s the cutest origin story.

6. Sunday Bedding

It took all our willpower not to collapse onto the plush bed display at Sunday Bedding – how cosy does that look? Our beloved local bedsheet company offers comfortable sheets, pillowcases, and loungewear at its DORS space. We had to resist the impulsive urge to get its knitted waffle throw, too. Perfectly plush, soft, and stylish, it’s the missing piece we didn’t realise our home needed!

Sunday Bedding

7. Clean Folks Club

If you’re looking for unique souvenirs or quirky gifts, this display will catch your eye instantly. No, it isn’t a cafe spread, it’s Clean Folks Club’s collection of artisanal soaps that look so good you can eat them (but please don’t).

From beloved local eats like ang ku kueh and kaya toast soaps to kopi and teh-themed candles, we couldn’t stop oohing and aahing at how real they look. Seriously, display them with caution because someone might just munch on them.

Clean Folks Club

8. CAM

Creatively Active Minds, better known as CAM, has been a curator of fine home decor since 2005. We did a double-take when we saw the intricate porcelain vases with colourful parrots because they looked so real. Each decor piece screams tropical, featuring animals like leopards, elephants, birds, bees, and more. There are also nifty dishes available in brass for anyone who prefers understated decor in their home.

9. Photo Phactory

The essence of Singapore’s landscape is beautifully captured in the Photo Phactory’s collection of dishes and homeware. We found display trays with colourful designs inspired by batik patterns, and coasters that look like mini tiles you might see in a Nyonya home. Look out for the bags with prints of iconic Singapore architecture! It’s a literal walking statement piece, and a great story to tell when you go out and meet new people.

10. Artisan of Sense

As you roam through DORS, you might be struck by an intensely sweet smell that draws you in. Follow it and you’ll find this luxurious setup by Artisan of Sense. Yes, that’s how strong the diffusers are! Fragrance sets the tone for the day, so start it right with the brand’s collection of candles and room sprays. We’re big fans of the bergamot and rose scent, which you can also get in candles or reed diffusers.

11. The Mind Cafe

If you haven’t been to The Mind Cafe at Prinsep, you’re missing out. Just imagine your group of friends gathered with free-flow snacks and perhaps the biggest collection and variety of games we’ve ever seen. The next best thing? Picking up one of the cafe’s fun games at DORS. You’ve got the classic The Singaporean Dream, Teabbles, and our favourite — The Durian Game, complete with plastic durians as part of a set.

The Mind Cafe

12. Purple & Pure

If you are taking baby steps into the sustainability lifestyle, Purple & Pure stocks some of the cutest green gifts to get you started. Our favourite pieces are the pens, greeting cards, and gift tags. They’re all plantable, as the handmade items are filled with seeds. After using the items, simply bury the pen or card in soil and watch your little garden bloom.

From the minds of botanical and spatial designers, Blanc Studios, comes Boutique by Blanc. It’s one of the first things we saw when we stepped into DORS, thanks to its massive flower display that captured our attention. If you love blooms, this is your chance to score a beautiful Blanc Studios flower setup in the form of everyday bouquets and bundles.

14. Postcard

We’re big fans of Postcard’s skincare products. Its natural recipes are free from artificial nasties and irritants – ideal for anyone with sensitive skin. Everything is created at Postcard’s in-house beauty kitchen in Singapore, so you’re getting the freshest products. If you need recommendations, we typically carry the Postcard Hotel Lobby stick deodorant and Moon Bloom anywhere fragrance in our super handy bubble travel pouch.

15. Everiday Food

We just can’t resist creature comforts like sambal and chilli oil. Lucky for us, DORS at Design Orchard is home to Everiday Food, known for its gluten-free and vegetarian-friendly products made with natural ingredients. Now you can happily get your guilty pleasure chilli oil fix because all the ingredients are kind to your body! We’ll be back for the kaya spread and Chilli Lovers Trio – they’re just that good.

16. The Beauty Bar

The centrepiece of the DORS at Design Orchard beauty zone is The Beauty Bar, a gorgeous island counter with a functioning sink. You’ll get a touch of spa luxury during immersive experiences hosted here. Brands like Scent Journer, Handmade Heroes, Glowfully, Benew, and more will take over the space to host new launches and collections. For a glimpse of what to expect, we customised a hand cream with Postcard on our visit!

17. The Analog Space

This section of DORS located in a back corner is dedicated to screen-free rituals. Think books, arts and crafts, and objects that spotlight the slow life. Our favourite part of this space is the full-blown vinyl display (we’re amassing our collection as we speak). Here, you’ll find vinyls for sale for as low as $11.

18. Public open space

If you’re looking for a quiet spot to settle down and rest after all that shopping on Orchard Road, head upstairs to the open rooftop area. We visited on a Friday afternoon, so it was quiet and empty, save for a few people sharing drinks and bites. It might be crowded on weekends, but it’s great for a little break to sit down and enjoy a drink before you continue your exploration.
