1. Heytea

Heytea is a popular premium bubble tea brand that originated in 2012 in China and is recognised for pioneering the cheese tea trend. When it first debuted, the idea of cheese and tea raised eyebrows. Well, fast forward six years, and the brand’s signature cheese cloud foam has become a permanent fixture on the menu. Meanwhile, the fluffy cloud series, especially the grape and mango flavours, remains a fan-favourite classic.
I’ve tried countless drinks from the brand, including recent collaboration creations like the Wicked Matcha and Twinkle Twinkle tiramisu. Out of the wide variety of drinks, the fruit teas really stand out – they’re light, refreshing, and perfect for Singapore’s weather, while the milk teas are indulgently rich in flavour.
My current obsession? The coconut mango blue drink which features a jasmine green tea base blended with coconut milk, topped with fresh mango and sago. It was a tropical and fragrant drink with chewy sago for added texture.
Must-try drinks: Seasonal drinks; classic fluffy cloud series; coconut mango blue; black milk tea
Price: Drinks from $2.70; toppings from $0.30
Opening hours: Vary by location
Address: Heytea, multiple locations including Ion Orchard and Jewel Changi Airport
2. Chagee

From Yunnan to Singapore, what used to be called Ba Wang Cha Ji has now rebranded to Chagee after its return in 2024. Recent collaborations with Popmart’s Hacipupu (green grape oolong flavour) and Hello Kitty (cocoa oolong flavour) have catapulted the bubble tea brand’s popularity, with fans snapping up the latest merch.
Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the collaborations, but a must-order for me is the peach oolong milk tea. It’s creamy yet light with high-altitude oolong tea and subtle peach notes. Also, Chagee isn’t your regular bubble tea store – the stores don’t offer toppings, committing to providing healthy and low-calorie tea beverages. Psst: did you know Chagee’s straw was specially designed to be triple-channel to enhance the tea-drinking experience? For tea lovers, you may also want to experience the world of tea at Chagee’s Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie exhibition at the Asian Civilisations Museum.
Must-try drinks: Bo ya jasmine milk tea; peach oolong milk tea; da hong pao milk tea
Price: From $4.50
Opening hours: Vary by location
Address: Chagee, multiple locations including Causeway Point, Orchard Gateway and The Star Vista
3. ChaPanda

I first tried ChaPanda (Cha Bai Dao) in Chengdu, China, and since then, I’ve been a fan of the bubble tea drinks. So you bet I was over the moon when I saw the brand arrive at Scape last year. Known for their milk teas and fresh fruit drinks, must-tries include the signature taro ball milk tea, mango pomelo sago that’s like a drinkable dessert, and the watermelon tea smoothie with jelly, a must-have on a hot sunny day.
Tip: if you come across ChaPanda’s stores in Korea, China, Thailand, Australia, Europe and Malaysia, check out the mochi drinks, strawberry series and dessert cups, which aren’t available on the Singapore menu.

Molly Tea, a popular ShenZhen-based bubble tea chain, is said to open in February 2026 at Orchard Central, right beside Yochi. Bubble tea fans can rejoice and look forward to adding another rotation to their roaster.
The name “Molly” is a wordplay on “Mo Li”, which means jasmine in Chinese. As the name suggests, these folks specialise in jasmine green tea-based drinks. While the Singapore menu remains unknown, popular fan-favourite drinks include jasmine milk tea and jasmine matcha.
Must-try drinks: Jasmine milk tea; jasmine matcha
Price: TBC
Opening hours: TBC (opening in February 2026)

5. A Little Tea (Yi Dian Dian)

This famous China-brand bubble tea, which launched in 2024 in Singapore, has a convenient outlet just a two-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT – perfect for CBD workers. Most drinks are priced under $5, which is rare in the current economy, where one cup can easily cost $6 or more.
I’d recommend the Four Season Milk Tea with 30% sugar and Big Bubble topping for $4.60. The first sip is creamy and milky, with just a subtle hint of tea, and the pearls are incredibly chewy, probably some of the best I’ve had. If you love pearls, give the toppings a go. Both small and big bubbles are available for an additional $0.70 each, or sign up for the free membership to enjoy free toppings!
Must-try drinks: Four Season tea; oolong milk tea; black tea macchiato
Price: From $3.90, toppings from $0.60

6. Mixue

If you’re active on social media, you’ve probably seen Mixue’s mascot going viral, along with the catchy “Ni Ai Wo Wo Ai Ni” theme song. Its drinks are affordable, which is perfect for anyone on a budget. The China-made brand is known for its fresh lemonade and $1 ice cream, which have people going wild because, well, it’s ridiculously cheap.
I’m a big fan of the Three Gems milk tea – it’s like a drinkable dessert with pearls, jelly and pudding all in one. Even large-sized drinks are $5, so we can all indulge in a sweet treat without second thought. For strawberry lovers, give the strawberry pomelo taro a go; it’s refreshingly light, not too sweet, made with real strawberries, and the chewy taro balls add a fun texture and depth to every sip.

BingXue originated from Taian, Shandong, and has over 3,000 stores in China. Currently, the bubble tea brand also has stores in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and other regions of Southeast Asia. When the weather’s scorching hot, I recommend the $1 ice cream made in-house in regular, matcha or mixed flavours.

Qing Nian Chun, a popular Suzhou bubble milk tea brand, is perfect for those who love bold, distinctive flavours. After trying the Suzhou Biluochun milk tea, the roasted tea taste really stands out – ideal for those who prefer milk tea with a stronger tea presence.
One of the brand’s standout perks is its toppings: you can choose from osmanthus jelly, barley bits or even both for just $1. Yes, you heard that right, barley bits – that’s a first across bubble tea brands. It’s soft, chewy and addictive – a healthier alternative to traditional pearls.

Known for its high-quality teas and innovative drinks, highlights include the cheese cream strawberry jasmine tea ($4.10) and grape Jin Mu Dan tea ($5.50).
