Are you the new face of Asian Food Channel?
Are you the daredevil type when it comes to everything edible? Combine that with an insatiable wanderlust, and you just might be one of two new faces hosting your very own show on the Asian Food Channel and Food Network.
Get camera-ready
Auditions are on from now till 7 July, and aspiring television hosts aged 18-35 years old from around the region are welcome to apply. All you need to do? Submit a video to the Food Hero YouTube channel and tell the world why you’re the best candidate for the job.
Whether you’re doing a restaurant review live or revealing the top-secret ingredient in your family recipe, your video should display how passionate you are about food, travel, and adventure. Great personality and on-screen appeal would be a bonus (or you can resort to doing a Gordon Ramsay impersonation if humour is your best weapon).
Conquer challenges
10 contestants will be shortlisted and undergo a series of online culinary and travel-themed challenges. Four lucky, plucky ones will then emerge as semi-finalists and travel to sunny Singapore to vie for these coveted positions in face-to-face interviews and screen tests.
Take social media by storm
The larger your social media following, the bigger your chances are of beating the competition flat at the Voters’ Choice Awards, where people all over Asia will vote and hit “like” for their favourite contestants.
So put on your most winning smile and get your film crew and camera equipment ready – we just might see you on TV come September!
Check out the Food Hero Facebook page for the terms & conditions and video specifications. Auditions are open from now till 7 July 2014.
