Located in Chiang Mai, Villa Mahabhirom is actually a collection of antique Thai Houses – known as ruean Thai – that date back from over a century. Raised on stilts and complete with gabled roofs, the houses have been redesigned to include luxurious marble bathrooms, private tropical gardens and modern amenities, but retain their quintessential Thai charm.
A salt water swimming pool is the design feature in the middle of the al fresco area that is open to all guests, and is also where yoga classes can be enjoyed. Don’t miss dining on authentic home-made Thai food at the Mahabhirom Dining Room, where the heritage of the building has been restored.
